2019 Training Camp

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can see how it's hokie to make that analogy with different classes of students in high school. But the overall philosophy is right on par in terms of how humans learn many things.

CAVS didnt apply those principles that year. If I recall they won their first 8 games then fell quickly in the first round. I think that was the year I watched Austin Carr miss a bunch of layups in the playoffs.

Nice column on Brandon Knight at cleveland.com yesterday. He's gotten stronger in the off-season and feels he's back to where he was when he was good enough to get a 5-year, $70 million contract from Phoenix after averaging 17-18 ppg for three consecutive seasons. Reportedly he was the star at the pre-season player workouts.

Last year with the Cavs his offensive rating (points produced per 100 possessions) was the highest of his career according to basketball-reference.com. This season he's supposedly stronger, quicker, and healthier based on some new training methods he adopted in the off-season. (His defense sucked, though).

If that's the case we should be able to move him at some point for a decent return like we did with Burks last year. If we can trade a healthy and rejuvenated Knight along with Thompson, Clarkson, and Henson this season we could end up with a major haul of draft picks and young talent (like when we got Clarkson and Nance from the Lakers).

Sexton has also done some bulking up.

Porter needs to hit the weight room. Sexton's form and distance is light years improved in 12 months.

Yes for real. I was just thinking how his release looks faster than at the end of last year, completely forgetting what it looked like in the beginning of the season or when he was drafted.

Hard not to take his work ethic and improvements for granted, but it really is special.

Risky business tweaking a shot that works. I hope they know what they are doing. Less than 40 percent = failure

Anytime the coach says, "success wont be measured by wins," buckle in to the tank and get ready for tons of losses.
AKA. Prepare for frustration by the ton while Tristan and Nance jack up a number of threes that'll rival our Sexland experiment. We're going to be begging for a Lindor-less Tribe come April.

And who will/will not play tonight? Anyone knows?

From what I can tell the game will be televised by FOX Sports Ohio beginning at 6pm.
The coach yesterday said everyone except Windler would play tonight and they were just working
out the number of minutes for each player.

Great. I'm in need of some Cavs basketball and to see the new faces finally play.

Hopefully I can find a decent stream for the game tonight. Eager to watch the young guys play. Sucks Windler is hurt.
