Ozone makes no sense. The defensive PGs in the NBA don't make the impact and win championships. The shooters and the defensively inept do. He has some kind of fetish for defense and I understand, defense is cool and fun, but it doesn't matter anymore as teams will shoot open 3's on almost every possession regardless of who your pg defender is. If you shoot better from 3 than the other team you will always have a better chance to win. The most important trait for a PG nowadays is the ability to shoot off the dribble on better than league average, and if you can also pass and get inside the lane it's game over.
Garland projects to me as a generational shooter. The difference between a player like Trae Young who shoots at a high volume but still can't shoot efficiently and a player like Garland is big, and yet Young just by having the reputation and the trigger to shoot from long-range opens up the game for everyone else on the team, and his percentages don't warrant that respect. Imagine if Garland's does...and I'm certain that he is a much better shooter.
There was a member here that thought Jevon Carter was going to be a star. He was a defensive beast in college, and where is he now? the next Rondo he called him and predicted that the Cavs pick him up. I wouldn't be surprised if it was you.
