Game Thread 2019-20 Preseason Game #4 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Boston Celtics | Oct 15th, 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This may be a really and I mean really long year...

But now Carson Edwards is going off. I will definitely be watching to see if a Garland/Sexton backcourt can work defensively as the pundits have questioned in the off-season. I am guessing we will have an answer 10 or games in, if they go to it from the start.

It's not size that is keeping a 5'10" guy from hitting 3's.

With this defensive effort from Sexton, it absolutely will not work. He's getting toasted by a G-League player.

Garland did a great job to deny Edwards the ball, Sexton has no idea what to do.

We are instore for a murderous season if some landscaper named something Edwards is taking a shit on us.

Who is that Edwards? Wow!

He was like this in the tournament last year. He has basically unlimited range and super confident scorer.

I wanted him as a Clarkson replacement. I knew once we draft Garland that taking another small guard was out of the question.

Celtics got a steal with the 33rd pick in the draft.

Its not just that they get knocked off. It's also the lack of instincts and skills defensively. It does look like Beilein is staggering them now. Garland just got his minutes alone and now Sexton is coming in. Unless that was the plan anyways.

He was like that all year. He was a steak at 33 and is playing with a chip..

yeah garland is gonna be a better passer than sexton.

I agree that Garland shows more PG instinct but I wouldn't give up on trying to build up Sexton's PG skills. I think on offense they can be pretty dynamic if Sexton improves his passing. They seem to have a lot of skills that could compliment each other and give alot of different looks on offense.
