I think the best hope is that he continues his shooting efficiency from last year and demonstrates that he is at least a "below average" defender at the 2. In that case, you start him with Garland and see what happens.What would you do with Sexton? (role on the team, trade ,etc) having him come off the bench you think is going to raise or lower his value?
I think the most likely world is becomes off the bench, is a spark plug, and gets traded for a future unprotected first and a contract.
The worst world is his efficiency falls back down and the Cavs just have this young guard with potential and they have no idea how to get him minutes.
