Trae had a really rough preseason...4/16 from deep in 3 games played, and a staggering 23 turnovers. Still probably a bottom-5 defender in the NBA. Premature, I think, to say he's shown you can build around him.

Trae's jumper is massively overrated. He's a high 30's guy.. Not bad, high volume, great range.

But I would bet money Garland is a better shooter than Young. Now and long-term.

I envy your unshakable confidence, haha.

He is right. Garland is the better shooter. I can co-sign on that.

Can only imagine how you all would be reacting if Garland bombed away in preseason like Herro or White or NAW or Edwards. You'd be penciling him in as the greatest shooter of all time.

I understand my mechanics. Garland's shooting mechanics, arc, etc is special.

And Coby White did not have a good Pre-season. Weird that you included him in that list.

I agree, but they’re both clearly the franchise player, which I hope Garland can become.

Doncic clearly is. Young is touted as one, but still is a question mark if he can become a player you can successfuly build around, at the very least impact wise.

Basically all of these guys have near-perfect mechanics. Idk, don't really feel like arguing about it. Don't know what White's averages look like but he had like 3 or 4 made 3's in his last couple games, I think.

You are clearly not an expert on mechanics, and that's ookay.

Anyways, I have watched the Bulls and Coby is a combo guard of the worst kind. He attempted 16 FGA a game in 26 minutes, the most on the team and shot .397% from the field, 34% from 3 on 7.5 attempts and .58% from the FT Line on 3 attempts per game and averaged a miserable 1.2 assists per game and only 0.5 stls.

Bulls still lack a PG, so good luck to them.

garland seems to have pretty good shot selection. Young hoists on anything and surprise a lot of those are bad shots. Yeah, Curry supposedly takes bad shots, but his balance and history allows him to do that. Young is a chucker to some degree. I mean, I don't really want Garland to just chuck.

I really hope KP can develop his defense and 3pt shot. 6’6 with a 6’9 wingspan that plays defense and can shoot a bit + has natural playmaking ability is the perfect shooting guard to have next to Garland. Remains to be seen if he can do it.

I really wish we had somehow got Brandon Clarke who fell pretty far on draft night

Agreed, but it is Trae's play making ability that made him the 2nd best rookie last year and a future all star.

I would actually say his passing is as much a plus as a negative for him. He turns it over like crazy. So well he creates plenty of chances for the Hawks his passing negates some chances as well.
