I'm treating the Tressel 5 year "show cause" separate, actually.

The suspensions for Pryor, Boom, Posey, Mike Adams, and Solomon Thomas were outrageous......5 games for selling their own shit. And just a few short years later, Manziel gets a half-game suspension for making thousands selling autographed paraphernalia. Cam Newton gets cleared in a several hundred thousand dollar payment to his father in the form of a church restoration loan. Bama players getting caught taking loans from a local booster than owns car dealerships (Ingrahm and Travis Henry).

And now a historic event for Chase (getting to go to NYC for Heisman) has been ruined for what sounds like a very small loan.

It's just weird to me.....where OSU always lands on these things vs. the rest of NCAA......

And in none of those situations was there the amount of proof they had on Osu kids.

Edit - also I bet chase still goes to New York, and the heisman is not important to begin with. Best thing about the heisman are the heisman house commercials.

Then she should’ve done it before Wisconsin or wait till penn state. It’s a comically inept smear job if in fact that’s what’s happening.
 
Fucks the Heisman campaign but as long as he's not out entirely we still have a shot at the title.

Also, maybe Fields or Dobbins breaks out even more in the last few weeks to sneak into the Heisman? Long shots I know.
 
NCAA going to lose the PR battle here.

I think they'll hold fast to a suspension of 2-3 games, but unless they can prove Chase took the bag or didn't fully pay something back, he should be back for ttun and the rest of the season.

His high profile status MAY help push the NCAA along with regards to expediency.

His Heisman campaign did not exist until after the Wisconsin game. A week later, this happens. Heisman campaign over

The heisman is meaningless. No one cares. And I honestly believe if he only misses Rutgers and/or Maryland, he still goes to New York.

So if it is a smear job, then the person is an outright moron. I have a hard time believe someone is smart enough to figure this out but dumb enough to use it so poorly.
 
Nah, his Heisman campaign is done.

The voters were already a reach to vote for a defender, but this would remove most of the doubt. Especially on the early ballots.
 
Also, if what Chase claims is even remotely true, it’s a joke this is even a thing given multiple recent cases, most notably an LSU booster stealing hundreds of thousands from a hospital to pay players...

Yeah, you are just missing the point here. Heisman is meaningless? No one cares? Lolwut.

Again, this person is attacking Chase Young. What better way to attack him than destroy his Heisman campaign? Its done, over, finished. And he had a legit chance, especially if Burrow lays an egg tomorrow.

Him missing Rutgers or Maryland does little to hurt his heisman chances. Him sitting vs a good team would hurt way more.
