Every time I see Sexton out there and then think about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, I get sad.
SGA didn't want to play for the Cavs and refused to work out for them pre-draft. Rolling the dice to try to turn a guys view of your organization around is a huge gamble. If it was a late 1st or 2nd round pick maybe you could take that chance. Spending the #8 pick for a guy who might refuse to play or will request a trade in the near future is bad draft strategy. It would have most likely resulted in getting much less value than what Sexton is right now.
