Is there a reason Wade couldn't get some minutes at the 3? It seems like the 3 skill he might be lacking is ball handling, but he seems good at the line drive.

He looked goooood.
Might be a steal.
Will be interested as the season progresses. He'll also spend some time in Cleveland later. Will be interesting to see how he performs at the NBA level to start.

If he can develop into a dependable stretch big off the bench, that would be a very nice get. I doubt he's the successor at PF it when Love is gone, but a solid rotational big would be great.

At the very least he could be a cheap stop gap (even as as a starter) if we trade Love, so our young wings can have a stretch 4 and spacing to play with, which is huge by itself.
I believe in his shot. It looks fundamentally sound and consistent. Not just that, but his college percentage over his last 3 years in college where he shot over .410% on okay volume is a pretty good indicator.

Can't wait to see if he can be consistent.

His shot does look like it will translate. He also is a good FT shooter and that is often a predictor.

I will be interested to see if he is able to be better on the boards. I don't know if he didn't do as well at K-State on that front because of his skillset or because of what he was asked to do. Also not sure how well he can play D.

He certainly has some potential and seems like the kind of player Beilein likes. I'm sure the coaching staff in Cleveland is providing directives to Canton in regards to Wade, Cook, and also Bolden. If Wade plays well and comes to Cleveland, I could see his contract potentially getting converted and the open two-way going to Bolden. I think Bolden has potential long term to fill that Tristan role, though it will take some time to get him there.

Wade is super smart. I was really impressed he always knows where to be.

Any reports on his defense and speed? Surprised a guy like that did not get a look in the 2nd round, just trying to understand why. Maybe because he is already 22?

Multiple foot injuries his senior year were a huge red flag. If healthy, he was probably a late first/early second kind of prospect.

He actually shot 65% from the FT line in beginning of college and was not actually that much of a shooter with Kansas. He worked his shooting daily during the summer in college and improved enormously. He has great form and very fundamental. He definitely has a place for the NBA.

Also under 30% from 3PT in his first year with decent volume (2.7 attempts per game). He kept a similar volume the next season and shot 40.2%. His FT% went from 65.6% to 78.9% by the time he was finished.

He fits the type of player the Cavs seem to be targeting since the 2018 draft - hard worker that is always willing to work to get better. I think all of the guys also show signs that they can develop a strong intelligence for the game as well.

I do hope Wade is added to the Cavs roster at some point by February because I would like to lock down Bolden as well. He does not strike me as a big time offensive threat, but he does have the making of being an anchor in the paint, able to alter shots. He can be a threat inside of 10 feet. Big wingspan, smart player, hard worker. I think he could definitely be a threat in the low post given development. He also has shown he can be a rim protector. I expect we use John Henson a lot when he comes back, but I think Bolden could be our Henson replacement off the bench next year.

I'm not sure long term exactly where Nance fits in with this team.

Gotta do something at center. Are we keeping Tristan, and trading Henson and dumping Zizic? Nobody is locked down for next year. I thought they would take Zizic's option just so they had one center on the roster that couldn't just leave. Now all 3 can just scoot.

I like Wade a lot. I think he can be a solid piece. I like the idea of him and Windler being snipers off the bench. Maybe you can deal with Larry at the 5 off the bench with him. I dunno

Can Larry bang at the 5? That's my concern.

Zizic is a guy they can bring back if they want to. Kevon Looney was declined by the Warriors and brought back. So it does happen from time to time. Unlikely. For all we know he may want to return to Europe.

I suspect the Cavs will be thinking about depth up front in any trades this season. They likely will want a young big back in any Clarkson trade if they are able to get that.
