Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #19 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Milwaukee Bucks | Nov 29th, 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rare for the Cavs to shoot this well, especially from 3.

Nice to see Garland make some shots.

What happened to KPJ?

I think people are just resorting to name calling now when they can't throw Sexton's low assist numbers out.

After that horrible first half for him to finish with 16 points, 3 steals, and 5 assists is pretty good.

I just think he is what he is - a talented scorer and not much of a playmaker. It’s just too bad he’s 6’1”.

He continues to get better and he has been a pretty damn consistent scorer from game to game. He might have a bad quarter or half but he always seems to bounce back in the second half of the game.

I think he can be part of the future. Him and Garland should be be staggered to play all the 48 minutes at PG. The team and coaching staff should be able to handle 12-15 minutes a game where Sexton plays SG.

I still think he is Clarkson, with a better work ethic, and some possibility of improvement.

And I still believe that playmakers are born and not made, for the most part.

I've always thought that he will be a great scorer that ranks up assists off set plays. He isn't going to naturally get assists from his vision. I do think with experience and him mastering a solid playbook, he can log at least half his minutes at PG.

If Clarkson was as consistent as Sexton and his assist didn't just come from playing buddy ball with Nance, I don't think our fan base would dislike him so much.

This team has a habit of collapsing down the stretch, having bad possessions, and not even getting shots off. And it’s not just the young guys - it’s the vets, too. NOBODY is clutch. I mean, who should the ball in crunch-time? EVERYBODY has dick-fingers, and NOBODY can be counted on to hit an open shot...

I think Sexton has the personality/skill set to be a closer. Cedi tries to have the mentality to close out games but usually fails at the execution.
I don't think Garland has that killer instinct in him.

I think what was lacking last year was finding and executing those staple plays. The coaching staff didn't seem interested in building up a playbook last year. I think Beilein is trying to install them now but it will be slow. They need those staple plays and Sexton probably is the guy to run them because he is basically the only young guy that can beat someone off the dribble one on one.

It's just so much easier when you have staple plays that everyone is confident in and can be call on the fly by the PG. The floater with the option for TT or whoever the big on the floor is to get an alley oop was something this team would turn to for years.
