Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #19 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Milwaukee Bucks | Nov 29th, 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You can't forget three pointers...

It's crazy, how he was the leading the NBA in three-point percentage but when was traded here. He couldn't shoot a three-pointer to save him life. Now, he's at 48% in three-point percentage.
I didn’t forget that. It was in my post earlier in the game. Just seems like a lot our “key pick ups” can’t do what they have consistently did their entire career once they put on a Cavs uniform on.

Even,Rodney Hood is doing good things in Portland... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Progress. This team is competing.

Darius had a nice game. Little bit of everything. Shooting looked very nice.

Sexton had a bad first half but he didn’t let that effect his game in the second half and ended up looking to create for others since his shot wasn’t falling. That is progress.

32 assists, 14 TO. Bucks defense is a little suspect , but we contained them reasonably..

Was able to see the second half (my guess is the first half was the same as the previous couple of games). What stood out to me:
  • We may not be in the playoff race, but you get the feeling this team will keep putting in the work. They will have the chance to steal some games, and you can easily see them break 20 wins at the very least. 25 isn't out of the realm of possibility.
  • Garland is showing his chops and I see him improving his skillset as a scorer and his overall stats after a bouncy start to the season. He's a solid point guard-type. And his shot looks legitimate. But he ain't no Kyrie Irving (yet).
  • Sexton is a good scorer who will only score better with time. His hard work is paying off, making his stats look slightly better. But I don't think he should share the court with Clarkson much. With the eye test in mind, they look like they can't stand each other out there together. And that Coach Beilein didn't put them in together probably says a lot.
  • Speaking of guys not playing, Delly didn't get any time in the second half, it's gotten that bad for Delly... it's too bad (like he fell off a cliff).
  • Tristan and Nance Jr aren't exactly super stars, but they've been consistent. They're a little small for their respective positions, but the most productive and positive-impact guys we have out there. Kevin Love is the third (and the only other one with plus stats), but he's also on a 4-year contract worth $120 million...
  • Osman's been consistent, but not really stand out. I'd hope Windler comes back at some point, but I also hope he won't turn into Luke Jackson injury-wise...
  • Kevin Porter is slowly growing into a solid prospect, but he needs a lot of time.
  • The end of game scenario where we tried to get the ball to our shooters revealed to me this: Garland and Sexton need some work on ball-handling in pressure situations. That will be important to their clutch-time development if they ever want to make it to the playoffs.
  • I'd like to see Henson out there... eventually. But Zizic is failing the team. It's only a matter of time when the team decides to move on. In fact, this upcoming month will say a lot about the team. There will be trades made with the future in mind. And having several of these contracts will go a long way.

Hill saying he didn't know what his role on the team was during the playoffs haunts me. He was either not healthy or hated this team.

He is clearly a system player just like Crowder was. We misused them but I still think putting on a Cavs uniform is kryptonite.
I think that is the key. When LBJ was here he was the system..no one else had or was part of a system.
Many were bad fits.
Plus some FA's just where over the hill and had nothing in the tank.
It's why year to year they were adding /subtracting players.
