The same can be said for D. Rose and J. Clarkson. Sometimes makes me wonder if the organization needs to have a major introspection on WTH is going on.

Jordan Clarkson was playing well here this year lol.

People just see what they wanna see when a team is losing vs when its winning.

I agree but that wasn’t a f****** squad accordingly to JR Smith. I think the dynamic with our core vets (JR Smith and Love) didn’t mesh with those guys who played at an highly/elite level on their previous teams. They challenged them professionally and cut into their minutes. Trading JR Smith alone would’ve given us a shot that year lol. What an unmitigated disaster he turned into after our championship season.

I still put that trade deadline on Altman....man I hated those trades. HATED THEM. And most people lit me up.

I honestly don't care how bad the lockerroom room dynamics were with D-wade......to trade him for a 2nd rd pick? Guy goes to Miami and started putting up monster PER 36 numbers. D-Rose goes to Minny, and becomes one of their "go-to" guys down the stretch and plays great basketball.

We are struggling in playoffs to find bodies against Golden State. It was terrible.

I'll never understand it. And don't even get me started on the Isaiah Thomas trade to the Lakers that allowed them to open more space for LeBron. It's as if Cleveland management was asking LeBron to leave. Incredible.

Wade, Rose and, yes, Crowder were the exact types of players that we needed to throw at the Warriors.

Losing was probably a foregone conclusion but that team would have been far better built for the postseason than the junk we rolled out there. Every single one of the players we brought in rolled over and died in the playoffs.

That whole Celtics trade was a mess.
IT and Crowder had a grudge against the Cavs and JR and they couldn't let it fucking go. I mean WTH: boston's medical staff basically ruined IT's career and they still felt that wore the green uni's in Cleveland. That so messed us up.

Man Zions debut was crazy. His talent is unbelievable. Too bad he likely won't last long. This may sound weird but he's too athletic for his body to handle it. His knees are going to get destroyed quickly. But I'll enjoy the show until then. 6-6 280 and being that athletic is just unfair. He should have been a DE in the NFL less pressure on the knees.

In fairness, I’d take guaranteed contracts and knee pressure over largely non-guaranteed contracts and CTE...

Depends on how long he lasts in the NBA. Not about knee pressure. His knees will legit fail him at some point. He's just too big for his knees not to get destroyed. Its a shame because his talent level is unreal. But when your 6-6 280 to 290 putting that kinda work load on your knees. It's not gonna end well for him.

I feel like Zion is about to prove a lot of people wrong. His hype was out of control to start to the season, but him missing all of this time and hearing all of the talk, I'm guessing, has had an impact on him. It's like he's almost under-rated at this point. I'm pretty sure he's aware of everyone's concern for his weight, but he's big naturally, I don't think he's an uncontrollable eater or lazy or anything like that. He seems naturally big, I think his body can handle his natural state, plus I'm pretty sure he's going to work hard, doesn't seem like that much of an issue to me. I think his "weight" issue is overblown already, over-reaction generation doing work early. If I had to bet, I would bet that this guy is going to take over the league, this shit looks too easy to him. This is not a hot take, this is basically what everyone thought before the draft.

Possibly. I guess I was more saying I’d take whatever knee (or other) injury risks associated with basketball over those of football if I were in Zion’s shoes. Add in the contract structures, fast high-dollar endorsement deals, and higher likelihood of being a star, and basketball seems like a no brainer.

I get what your saying. But Edorsement deals happen in NFL as well and with as athletic as he is being a NFL star wouldn't have been out of the question. Depending on how long his body holds up he may never see that 2nd contract. He's just a true freak of nature in a good and bad way.

I like NBA twitter nowadays

Lol the Pacers actually deteled it... It was so good tho

No amount of CTE is worth it. If you're an athlete insisting on pursuing a pro football career, you should retire as soon as you think you have enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life.

They could always limit his minutes.. he goes 4-4 from three last night, and was nearly unstoppable going to the basket.. this is a guy you can play 20 minutes a game and rule that 20 minutes. You would have to construct a team around him that could keep it close with defense, and maybe play him the last five minutes of each quarter..

I think Koby would rather Dan Gilbert forget that season.

Koby was a complete disaster as GM that season, starting with the Kyrie trade, then all through the season. Possibly one of the worst performances as a GM in all of NBA history, although he seems to have gotten away with it since people don't talk about it now. You literally could have picked a good poster from RCF and they would have done better. Complete amateur hour. Now he is well into his period of on the job training so possibly he's getting better (although the expectations are low right now so it's hard to tell). But I still haven't forgotten that season. And certainly that season destroyed any chance we had of keeping Lebron.
