2020 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My opinion: take the best available with pick #1, pay for a veteran with some tread left on the tires so that the Browns can develop the other bookend in round 3.

I agree. Normally, you're not going to have a shot at a franchise LT drafting at #10 because they're gone by then, but as @Benway said above, we've been gifted with a draft incredibly strong at LT. I say we don't try to outsmart ourselves, and just pick the best LT on the board.

Better just stick with the double rather than making the third out at third base.

Lets say these 7 go in the top 9 and 2 of the bottom 3. So u have an option of taking one of the 3 Brown/Simmons/Okudah or the 4th best OT in draft?

or throw Jeudy in top 10 also and drop Wirfs. So u have option have an option of taking one of the 3 Brown/Simmons/Okudah or the 3rd best OT in draft?

QB Burrows Tua, Herbert
DE Young
OL Thomas, Wills, Wirfs

DT Brown
LB Simmons
CB Okudah

I am not ready to say u 2 are wrong yet but I don't like the idea of taking a average starter potential over a all pro potential.

I am going to do some research and see how many all pro OT tackles have been taken in 1 draft.

I know he's a physical freak, but there's just something about Becton being 370 lbs that gives me pause knowing how much the Browns are going to be asking their OT's to move in space moving forward. If they're confident it wouldn't be an issue, then so am I.

I personally think Wirfs is the best option of all the tackles if the Browns stay at 10. He's very talented and already has years of zone blocking experience. Feels like a true plug and play at left or right tackle.

If the Browns could move back to somewhere in the 15-20 range and pick up something like an extra 2nd this year and 3rd next year and still walk away with Josh Jones, that would be fine too.

Hell, if they truly think Jones is the best fit and want him at 10, then go get your guy.

If Simmons drops to 10 I think that’s an absolute no brainer and a steal at 10.

In my mind, Simmons is the only guy who moves me away from the best tackle on the board. As I've said for about two seasons, I don't think the difference between an elite eight tackle and an elite left tackle is the same that it used to be a decade ago. With Chubb entrenched as the running back and a head coach who values running the ball, I give college left tackles no priority over the college right tackles.

I don't have an issue with that. My objection is to the idea of trading back becauae you're targetting some other guy further back. Great strategy until someone takes the guy you were targetting.

It's ok Joe. I wouldn't want to be a bungle either.

"I do have leverage," the former LSU quarterback said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, during a reception in Fort Worth in which he accepted the Davey O'Brien Award, given to the nation's top college quarterback. "[The Bengals] have their process and I have my process. We haven't even gotten to the [NFL] combine yet. There's a lot of things that happen leading up to the draft and a lot of information gathered."

What, is that code for “I’m ready to go full on Eli?”

Good for him!

He better not end up in Pittsburgh.

I said this about a month ago but it looks like chase claypool is putting on weight and looks to move from wr to TE. I would put him top5 in terms of TE. Very good blocker and above average receiving skills. Is definitely an interesting prospect

That's the exact same reason I put on weight, hope it works out for me.
