you can still skip an answer line in error & all the rest of the answers are in the wrong spot..

The 23 on the 2nd attempt suggests a small error that magnified going thru the rest of the way..
Yea I’ve screwed up scantron answers sheets in my youth. Is that what happened? Haven’t read that anywhere...

You & me both (regarding scantron mess up).
Call it a solid deduction of the tea leaves for the retest reason

Love the pick.

The only thing I have some concern about is that while playing on the blindside, how many of the top pass rushers was he facing?

There are so few left handed QBs. In fact, Tua right now is the only left handed QB in the league. Teams traditionally put their best pass rusher over the LT. So would defenses switch alignment with a lefty or stay the same?

I ask because it could definitely skew his overall pressure and sack numbers if he wasn’t frequently matching up with the opponents best pass rusher.

he allowed one sack in 3 years. This dude is money.

That's not the question I asked. If he's doing that against a weaker pass rusher it's not as impressive. I'm not trying to knock him, just curious. Probably would need to go back and watch his film to know.

I am not a fan of Relative Athletic Score because I do not see as much translation from combine performance to eventual outcome absent production. Basically, I think production tells you more of what you need to know.

Nonetheless, it is interesting that as an athlete, Wirfs is outstanding - but his size is a bit of a concern. Again, I do not really believe much of either, but it is cool to easily quantify this stuff.

I'm pretty sure, since Thomas doesn't work for the Browns, he can start with Wills right away.

For those worried about the switch, having Callahan as an OL coach and Joe Thomas as a mentor, Wills will be in the best hands possible.

Not only that, but Conklin understands switching sides of the line and the re-learning of biomechanics related to it, as he was a three year starter at LT in college and then an All Pro as a rookie RT in TEN.

The issue to be clear should not be seen as a quality of opponent faced at RT or LT. That is outdated and doesn’t reflect how the game is played now. So Conklins experience moving from L to R is highly relevant and helpful as a resource for Wills, who will be moving from R to L.

I stand by what I said a few weeks ago.

If Jedrick Wills had played left tackle all year, he would have been the unanimous OT1 in this year's draft because he had, in my opinion, the consistently best tape of the top four guys.

Andrew Thomas was the safest pick of the bunch because he didn't have any projection to his evaluation. He's a simple plug and play LT.

I totally bought into Tristan Wirfs from an athletic and scheme fit perspective. I really thought for sure he was going to be the pick, but the fact is his tape just had a lot of inexplicably terrible reps that I just can't explain. A guy who was basically stronger and more athletic than the guy trying to get past him on nearly every rep just having complete fundamental breakdowns at times. I maintain that Wirfs' very best A+ reps are better than Wills or Thomas' very best A+ reps because of the athleticism advantage, but consistency is the name of the game along the OL.

Becton was the home run swing. If he keeps his weight under control and really dedicates himself to being great, he may very well end up being the best of the bunch because of his size + strength + speed combo. But he also has the biggest chance of washing out IMO.

Wills is more athletic than Thomas and had better tape than Wirfs. Best of both worlds hopefully.

i don’t give Jean Claude Van Damn about your question.
Thomas was gone.
Wirfs doesn’t love football.
Becton is a blimp and if you are worried about competition Louisville sucks and the ACC sucks.

All the credit in the world to you. I think it was you saying you liked Wills #1 that made me go back and re-watch his tape. I came away with him moving from #4 for me to #1b to Thomas's #1a simply due to LT experience.
