Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone in here a certified personal trainer?

I was approached by the district that I work in to pursue a certification. I would use it mostly to assist with football training in the offseason. I’m also thinking about using it to train some clients at the gym I currently work out at. Is the money worth it? Are classes difficult? Any tips/info would be appreciated
@Nicky

Also curious

Depending on the gym and their training program business model, it’s a good side job, but definitely not worth the hassle, unless you have a great deal of clients.

Idk why I forget this everyone but you really have to start running of you want to cut. You get too invested in the xalories yiure consuming that way

Been consistently working legs for awhile. Quads look good, calves are shapely. I feel like my hanstrings suck, booty needs worm

Anyone getting regular bloodwork done?

I need to raise my HDL a bit but otherwise I'm pretty damn healthy.

Picked up some dumbbells, a weight vest, and some bands in case they close my gym.

Yea I'm gonna need a whole new routine if they close the gym..which I'm almost sure is going to happen in like the next two days.

Gotta go buy a bench and at least a few sets of dumbbells. Can do almost everything I need to with those.

My only issue is gonna be how to do most of my weighted leg work. I really don't wanna spend and buy a barbell and a whole set of weights when I really don't have the room for all of that (I don't real have the room for a bench and 3 sets of dumbells either)

Buy a weight vest and do bodyweight stuff? Better than nothing.

You would probably be fine with a cheap set of dumbbells and some body weight exercises.

I’ve got 3 sets of dumbbells and a couple kettlebells. Shouldn’t need much more than that to get a solid workout in.

Ayeee get resistance bands

60 bucks in Amazon, goes up to 150 lbs. Yiu can do literally anything and the workout is n par with free weights. It's a little different but not much. Just work to hypertrophy by holding exercises longer etc.

If you can find some bands, good luck. I bought two of the BodyLastic resistance band kits a couple of weeks ago as soon as I seen everything selling out quick. Top quality stuff the BodyLastic brand. I'm really getting a good workout with them; amazing how much you can do although it's a bit more time consuming than using the machines at the gym.

Absolute life changer.

For those of you still doing cardio, running or doing elliptical on beat helps tremendously. I've complied Playlist for years to facilitate cardio work outs bc I'm stupid.

You can just download the sing and use a tempo adjuster app. Every song is now perfect.

I'm looking to buy a cardio machine because my body doesn't let me do it outside.
Where i;m from everything is so expensive. I'm looking at a commercial machine though. Possibly Precor or Life Fitness(remanufactured)
I have hip, knee and ankle issues and I'm leaning towards an Elliptical in favor of a treadmill. It sucks that it is fixed motion, but the AMT (which let's you alternate between stepper, walking, running is too expensive).
By looking at the two Life Fitness ones have completely different stride and biomechanics. The motion is more flat and resembles a light jog which I like, where's the Precor has more of a stepper motion that looks to be in slight incline which looks to invovle the hip flexors way more. The precor also has up to 40% incline, where the Life Fitness has none.

I'm just not sure the Precor is good for my hip and I can't test it out unfortunately, but the possibilities seem greater.

Do you see any kind of physical therapist? Perhaps they could offer some recommendations?
