I don't understand the sentiment behind signing a player just to retire here, when he never even played here in the first place.
And yes, I know his dad did. But he didn't.

Could just wait for Clay IV.
Only got 16 more years to go! (Roughly)
Are there any other Mathews great grand kids, One of Bruce's grand kids?
Bruce has two other sons, one who has played in the NFL and one who is a sophomore at Texas A&M. He's the only one left from the two brothers Bruce and Clay. I think the next oldest is Clay III's child, but I could be wrong.
My understanding is the fuck you sauce is kind of salty.
Not a good fit. Loved Dad though.
Season tickets since 77 and he was one of the best.
He's too old, too slow, and not a good system fit. Good character and his name are about the only things that fit in with what Berry wants to accomplish. I think roster spots are to valuable to give away for a locker room presence that doesn't fit our scheme well.Clay is a football player. He can play in any defensive scheme. Browns need veteran depth and leadership at the linebacker position. Perfect fit for young guys to learn from.
Shit. Forgot about that. Good point.Clay is a football player.
