Favorite player on the Indians, that actually sucked?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Who is the worst Indian of all time to appear in at least 100 games? Michael Martinez?

edit: he only appeared in 90

I'm willing to make an exception. In my post I was actually going to put least favorite player on the Indians who also sucked: Michael Martinez.

Fuck that guy. I don't know what dirt he had on Terry Francona to allow him to waste a roster spot on this team as long as he did but I hope it was worth it.

Casey Kotchman?

EDIT: Lou Marson has accumulated the least amount of WAR at -3.0

Lou Marson wasn't a bad recieving catcher, but his bat lacked and he was never the same after he got slammed at the plate.

Are we sure he was a good receiver, or do we just assume that because he was such a terrible hitter?

He grades out atrociously as a defender on fangraphs.

Lou Marson was one of the worst Indians I've ever seen. Dude had no redeeming qualities besides getting knocked out of that one game so we could start playing Gomes more regularly.

Eh, the pitchers always seemed to like throwing to him. Stats though do agree with you at the end of the day. Only thing he did well was throw runners out via the numbers, but we have been slightly spoiled for awhile now when it comes to catchers as well.

As a really young fan in the 1980s I was a big fan of platoon outfielder Carmen Castillo.

I didn't really understand what a platoon meant, or why the manager used a platoon. All I knew was that I didn't like Mel Hall and whenever they played Castillo instead, he got on base twice a game. At least that's what it felt like. So whenever the Indians were playing a righty I was just sitting there pissed that I had to watch Mel Hall line out.
Loved Carmen Castillo. I'm with you. I always wanted him playing more.

Tony Horton for the old timers. Thought he was going to be a stud. Jeremy Sowers for the younger crowd. No idea why I pulled so hard for him, he's pretty much the opposite of the sort of pitcher I usually like. But alas, Tony flamed out, probably due to health issues, and Jeremy, well, just flat out sucked.

I really liked Aaron Laffey too. Him and Sowers were kind of built from the same mold.

Tom Mastny 2007 playoffs getting Ortiz-Ramirez-Lowell out in bottom of the 10th so we can win game 2 in the 11th in Boston. The highlight of his short career. Met him in Japan during their spring training in Okinawa. Was very nice to me and appreciated an Indians fan who remembered his career highlight. Otherwise, he fucking sucked! LOL!

Horton squeezed the bat handle harder than anyone I've ever seen. A major leaguer at 19, he was out of baseball by age 25 with emotional issues including a baseball related suicide attempt. Exceptional talent who managed 76 homers and hit for the cycle in a brief career.
