Very nice
Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip surgery) said he's "a little bit ahead of schedule" in rehab.
“The rehab processes is going great,” Landry said Wednesday during a Zoom video conference with Browns beat writers. “It’s just a little difficult obviously with some of the modality type of things that I’ve been doing that obviously with quarantine and everything I hadn’t been able to have access to. You know, I can’t predict when exactly I’ll be on the field, whether that’s July, August or September. But obviously my [anticipated] return date is sometime in August.” Just three months into a 6-8 month timetable following labrum surgery in February, an August forecast would put Landry on the field at the earliest date possible. He's still expected to be ready for Week 1.
I just don't follow this here and it definitely worries me about our WR corps if the season somehow starts on time. If he's only three months in and hasn't had access to the full scope of treatment, getting back after 6 months post surgery seems pretty damn optimistic.
If we're saying three months from today until he's ready for contact, that means he's not ready to fully practice until the end of August. That's with no setbacks and coming back as fast as possible. Even then, I don't see how that means he'd be ready for week 1. If he ends up taking 8 months to rehab, he's missing almost half the year.
Didn't OBJ have the same surgery as well? I haven't seen much about his recovery.
Well at least we know if Baker fails this year, we will get Rodgers in 2021.

The future of football is in allowing the fans to call plays from their living rooms by online vote. That way, they have only themselves to blame when they don’t work out. The team can even put big happy and sad faces on the screen after plays and offer “recommended”.
With opposition fans potentially jumping in and intentionally calling for punts on 1st down and prevent defenses on 4th and short, the question would be...could the Browns have done worse historically with these options?
Maybe instead of having the fans call them all the time, there would be a series of metrics in place where the fan vote would automatically kick in.
Converting under 35% on 3rd down? Fan vote. Under 50 total yards of offense in any quarter? Fan vote.
This way it'd lead to some crazy shit happening as coaches would be forced to make decisions in certain situations to not invoke the fan vote. Just imagine if you're winning 21-10 at the end of the second quarter but you got shut down after scoring three TDs in the first quarter. Your QB's been getting beat up and you only have 40 yards of offense in the 2nd quarter. You have the ball and it's 3rd and 5 on your own 10 yard line with 15 seconds left in the half. Do you drop back to pass and hope for the best knowing literally anything could happen with the defense knowing you have to come up with 10 yards to not have fans start calling plays?
Should absolutely institute the same thing with the draft.
No Pro-bowlers taken in rounds 1-3 in three consecutive drafts triggers fan pick.
