The 2020 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There is a great deal of overreaction here. What the two did was stupid and unfeeling, of that there is no doubt. They should sit out the quarantine time and go on from there. If either test positive for COVID-19 then that is a different story.
Frankly, they should’ve never played this season anyway.

I'm not saying trade them or release them, but I definitely think there should be a heavy fine for each.

I think a lot of people already knew Clevinger was kind of a shitty dude, but this solidifies it.

Given the situation, I don't think anyone in here has overreacted. I might not match their reaction, but it's certainly understandable. We have a leukemia survivor on the team and an elderly coaching staff, which includes a manager with a history of heart issues.

This is a big deal. Not an overreaction.
Would you want Clev in your foxhole? Not much of a teammate. This season is all about self responsibility, and trusting your teammates.
I'd be happy if he got traded - tonight.

I'm trying to figure out where they even could have gone. You can't even get in anywhere in Chicago without a mask and once you do get in somewhere you need your mask all the way to the table. Places like clubs and bars where you can stand and drink are all closed. Obviously if they went to like a homies place that had a house party or something all bets are off. Either way, what a couple of dickheads . . .

Plesac grew up near Chicago, so I think it’s very possible that they went to the residence of someone he knew.

Clev being the topic always had me wondering...

he got divorced because he’s a major piece of shit, right?

Not sure if they were ever married, but the woman he was involved with (and had two children with) allegedly caught him having affairs and he kicked her and the kids out of the house.

I believe they have since reconciled.

Clevinger has to realize this isn't his wife, he can't just go out screwing around on the team.

No - reconcilation not. The fight over property and stuff was very ugly last year

Jup, do you think that makes him more likely to be dealt by the deadline. I'm not advocating for such, but this organization doesn't seem to take to kindly to that type of player for the long haul.
I don't think it changes it one bit.

The Indians have known what Clevinger is up to for a very long time (or if they haven't they are absolute idiots which I don't believe they are). Turned a blind eye before, not sure why that would change now. No, that kind of punishment is reserved for guys that challenge management head on, not for breaking the rules and being a wuss about fessing up to it.

In Francona land, the players are suppose to do that (police the players and clubhouse). Wonder why we haven't heard from Frankie yet. He is supposedly the man. Didn't hesitate a minute to sound off about Bauer throwing the ball over the centerfield wall. But then again, that is A HUGE EMBARASSEMENT (capitalized) compared to the Clevinger "minor infraction" (small font). So maybe we won't hear from Mr. Blue hair, because Bauer's intensity was a problem but party ........... that is just fine

All this reinforces my thoughts about trading Clev (instead of trying to sign to an extension). Target Bieber for an extension and figure out which position player (besides Lindor) merits either an restructured contract or locked into an extension..

Well, they got back together at some point. So, call that whatever you want.
