The 2020 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Always thought that Frazier had the makings of a good right fielder.
Is he truly as ridiculously bad as you guys are saying?

If I remember correctly, at one time he wasn't too bad in RF. Then when he was first called up the the Yankees, he was a butcher.

I dont think the Indians will increase payroll regardless of what happens this season. We dont get to redue the TV contract yet either, but next TV contract will likely get a nice increase especially if we win the world series and comeback in 21 and be a contender.

Also regarding the trade deadline. Indians FO is going to look about upgrading this OF, but its going to be hard to find a deal that they are willing to do.

WS win does not matter for cable contract. What matters is since we signed the last contract, the Indians have become one of the most watched from home teams in MLB. That is what will factor into a much larger contract.

...and my understanding is that currently this is a great deal for fso and not so much for the tribe - wonder when its up for bid/renewal - any online $ to be made?

So contracts like these aren't that simple to say 'bad contract for the team.' When the deal was signed, it was a big deal for the Indians as it was a massive contract($33 million a year to $40). That is what is typical in these types of deals, at first it's great for the team, at the end not so much. The Indians just so happened to have a rather massive amount of fans watching from home every game compared to 2012. This will pay off in the next contract.

That’s a very pessimistic way to look at it lol

Would also be very odd for him to say right now after being in the league over 5 years.

Its an Instagram caption from someone in their mid-20s.

Its very likely about being where he as a player, versus anything from a contract/trade situation.

In today's world, if he was getting close to a contract do you think that it would not have been leaked by now (7 hours later) ....

I think it was more about where he is at as a person in probably doing something on social justice with that group effort between Browns, Indians and Cavs ....

Indians have always been super tight lipped. Maybe the sides are close and frankie just told his agent "get it done", but little details still need to be worked

Just making a joke man...looking for some silver lining of 2020
