Great vision, and great feet for a bigger back. Also seems like a really high-character guy and great teammate.
According to PFF, he had the most missed tackles forced among all RB's over the last 2 years. And he's second only to Derrick Henry in terms of yards after contact.
That's just sick - how can one guy be both the most elusive back, and also the second most powerful? With this OL and this scheme, he should be looking north of 1500 yards.
The yardage total will be what it will be. It’s a blessing that it’ll end up less if Hunt plays well. Hunt is also fantastic. I hope Chubb gets 1200 yards and stays fresh and healthy but clearly, if we kept running him and gave him a ton of touches, he could get 1500 yards.
Like I said, I only watched the highlights, but dude looked so fresh. The only negative I saw was when he was carrying a guy near the left side of the goal line, that defender rolled on his feet awkwardly. It got me thinking: what’s ideal is just him playing hard and staying healthy more than anything else... and of course a couple of breakaways bc dude has the speed too.
If you want to know what a revolutionary offense looks like, which I don’t believe is sustainable but if we put one as FB and one as HB, that’s pretty much unstoppable since a D could never know which one would be which. If we can just probe that a little at a time, if we are in the hunt or do make the playoffs, that’s unstoppable w our current set of other skill players too.
