2020 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We are set up perfectly to run the table and reserve a seat at the playoff. Only two real opponents, Penn State early and Michigan late, then win the conference for a seed. No PAC and we were clearly contenders last year so I don't see us being left out unless we drop a game. Honestly almost feels like the conference didn't want to risk our season since we're the true threat, so great to dodge Purdue and Iowa.

Do we think it could be an undefeated matchup for The Game? Very much looking forward to the Penn State Halloween game.

michigan could lose to any one of Minnesota,Wisconsin or Penn State imo. Well see. This will be interesting since Harbaugh is antagonizing Day

Has a decision been made about bowl games outside of the CFP?

I think that speculation is based on this:

I'm not really sure if its true, or if he was just reppin' with Miller on the side. Would be a surprising move, IMO.

I’m grave digging a bit on this but wanted to see if anyone had talked about Cade. He graduated from my high school and my mom still regularly talks to his parents. Apparently when he was first recruited by OSU, the TE coach (can’t think of his name) was the first to request Cade.

While he was a great defensive player in HS, he also played WR and RB on offense so he already has some experience there. He was also a phenomenal basketball player that lead Lexington to the Final 4. Early in his senior year of basketball he was platying so well that some thought he had a chance to win Mr. Basketball and Mr. Football.

Anyway, after watching him play basketball in HS, as long as the weight he added didn’t slow him down at all I think he could make and incredible tight end. He was a phenomenal athlete in HS and flat out out-worked everyone. He’s got a mean streak which will help in blocking and at 6’4”, 255 with very good speed,, quickness, physicality, and jumping ablity, I believe the sky is the limit for him at TE. He’s going to be a load to try and cover for most LB’s and safeties.

kevin Wilson coaches the TE, just to answer your question there. He’s always been an intriguing athlete; hope he puts everyone together once Ruckert and Haussman are out.

thats also cool btw

Yeah I think he will. His dad played at BG. LB I think. He still looks like he could play right now. I’m pretty sure his mom was an athlete in college as well but I don’t remember.

I don’t believe he actually received any D1 basketball offers, but his dad said Cade was receiving a lot of calls from D1 basketball programs at the end of his senior year to see if he was interested in playing. He was already committed to OSU and obviously wanted to play football. While no one made offers, he definitely could’ve got a scholarship to play D1 basketball.

While it’s a little off-topic, I think it’s promising given the number of similar sized guys with basketball backgrounds have made the transition to TE.

I am very interested in the WR rotation.

Something Doug Lesmerises has mentioned on his podcast is that position groups normally function by guys playing well, then moving on so younger guys can fill in. It's unusual for guys to be 3-4 year major contributors. Even Chase Young and Jeff Okudah really only had major playing time for 2 years.

The WR room from 2016-2019 was an exception. The Dixon, Campbell, Mclaurin, Hill, Victor, Mack group really dominated the position for 3-4 years. That lead to a few years of small WR classes, followed by a few big classes. Obviously Olave and Wilson will see a lot of time. It seems like Jameson Williams will be the 3rd starter.

Then we have a few upperclassmen, and 4 stud froshs. Some of them will get considerable burn, but no idea who that will be,
