Week 8 vs Raiders

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Browns have forced 1 punt in 2 games.
I know this might sound odd given the total points allowed, but to me this is right up there with the worst defensive games of the season

just an absolutely gutless performance. 3 8+ minute drives. They could have announced on the loud speaker that they are running before the play and we still couldn’t stop it

bitch made performance by the defense. They got absolutely emasculated by a more physical team that just imposed their will. Very disappointed in the effort

I’d love to hate on woods for this defense but we knew it would be a disaster going into the season. Andrew berry dropped the ball there. We’re not the patriots we can’t win with a rotation of nobody LBs.

I would not say he dropped the ball. Look at all the injuries — Delpit, Williams and Phillips. Not too mention Mack was coming into this year looking solid — boom — knee injury. Woods has limited talent to work with, so i do not blame him or Berry.

This is one of my points about Woods. It took until the 4th quarter before he started putting 8 in the box.

I was pretty annoyed by his playcalling vs. the WFT and how Haskins basically carved us up aside from a few stupid throws. Same thing with Burrow x2. Same defense, same zone that puts huge pressure on our linebackers to make plays, and just hope the offense makes a mistake?

I know we're devoid of talent - but I'd like to see our DC scheme up a few stops here and there. We've given up 12/13 4th down conversions this year. Something is wrong.

That felt like watching 2-1 Indians game this past season.

For me — “The COVID Season“ — will be a bonus if we make the playoffs. There were/are so many things going against this team; no offseason, no training camp, new coaches, new offensive/defensive schemes.

I really think people need to temper their expectations for a historically pathetic franchise trying to turn things around. Good news is — we have a TON to build on in 2021.

Scheme is irrelevant if he is so inflexible that he can't switch it up based on game conditions. We play the same soft zone like every play lol

Coverage was never, at any point, the problem. They were destroyed in run defense.

Frankly, this hipster hindsight blaming needs to reflect what actually happened.

Our DLine had their dicks kicked in today. Worried Myles may come out with an injury.

Defense and dropped passes. Those did us today. Njoku's 3rd down drop and numerous that of Landry's were painful.

Coverage has been a problem all year. And they destroyed our run defense because it took the entire game before we started stacking the box. Even the announcers were like, "I'd put more men in the box instead of letting them just slap us around all game".

I'm not saying we should be a top 10 defense here - but I think you're overly defensive of the scheme/play-calling if you want to completely absolve Woods of blame. He has been pretty bad all year and was pretty bad today.

I think it will be incredibly disappointing if we don’t make the playoffs given the remaining schedule, COVID season or not. Nothing will be better for a young team to build on for 2021 than a playoff appearance after how close you were in ‘18 and the turmoil of ‘19.

We play the Texans, Jags, Giants, and Jets, that should be 9 wins there. And I’d really like this team to show they can play against legit talent in the Ravens, Steelers, and Titans. Time will tell but You have to take advantage of a soft schedule.
