2021 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
As long as we aren't taking a QB high, 3 out of our first 4 picks should go to the defense. Honestly can just select whoever is the best defensive player available and not worry much about the position. Browns just need to add difference makers at any spot.

One guy I'd keep an eye on in the 2nd is Paris Ford. Love the way the kid plays and can play either safety spot. He's a hard hitter who just makes plays and has a great attitude. I have a close personal friend that is deeply tied to Paris and has known him since he was in 7th grade. Has always had tremendous praise for his work ethic, ability, and character. He has a really electric personality as well. I met him last summer and he just seems like a good kid from everything I could gather.

Ford could play with Delpitt, but he also might open the chance to slide Delpitt to Nickel where he might actually have a better long-term fit.

There is a lot to like with Ford. Some called him the best safety in this class because of his mix of coverage skills and physical run support. Scouts have some questions about his mental processing, and I'm keeping an eye on it before I talk him up.

Andre Cisco was likely to be the #1 safety but he tore his ACL. He is an interesting pick later in the draft if you don't mind taking a risk.

From what I know about Paris regarding his personality and playing style, it’s very possible that the questions in terms of mental processing are actually more tied to an overly aggressive nature. This kid is running at like 150% at all times. He’s one of those guys that you never have to worry about being up for a game or taking plays off.

Granted I could totally be wrong on that, but I can see how being overly aggressive in terms of makings the play/hit could come across not processing plays correctly. While you never want to take the aggressive nature out of a player, maybe helping him reign it in is all that’s needed for him to take the next step as a player.
