I don't think it was just Tiffani Amber Thiessen that got people to watch it. It was a relatable cast that every kid/teen wished were their friends in a location (southern california) that you could envy too. When they reshuffled the cast and location it was set in was when it took off.

The reboot looks funny but I highly doubt it will be a hit. Just too hard to recreate that cast. Also it looks like they are going to try to blend both the new and old cast to try to walk line for two very different demographics. 90210 try to do the same thing and had to just stop doing the old cast members storylines to move forward.
 
Finally got to the Mando.

Excellent episode.

First two are good (the first being the better of the two). Hated the third and wasn't a big fan of the fourth. Haven't watched the rest yet but most indications are it's very polarizing after the great intro.

The coolest thing about the first episode is how they make the racist sheriff more scary than the Lovecraft monsters.

I have to get back to that at some point. If I remember correctly, end of first season didn't feel like an end, middle of second season felt more like the end of a season so I took a break there, haven't had a chance to get back to it.

You're right. It was only through the first 2/3rds of the 1st book, so that is why it felt that way. They have worked on the pacing since and have about each season be the length of one book. Am very excited to watch this upcoming season even on a weekly basis again. Hopefully the crew and actors continue their "live" watches and interactions. Was so much fun for the community to interact that way.

Yeah it really picks up in season two and season three is absolutely fantastic. Four isn't quite as good but sort of makes up for it by upping the budget substantially. I also like the stuff they added, like Bobbie trying to figure out what's going on on Mars and the fun side plot with Drummer and Ashford. In particular, I love that they actually did something with Ashford, as I'm pretty sure he just disappears from the story after the third book.

Season five is gonna be amazing.
 
I can't find the fucking mini-series on my streaming apps for Battlestar Galactica and it's pissing me off. I want to watch that before I get to the actual series.

I thought they made it the first episode which is like hour and half? totally could be mistaken

I found it on Peacock for free. When you type in Battlestar Galactica you get two “covers” one is the the two episode miniseries and the other is the 4 season show.

I believe it starts on the space station that was designed for the Cylons and humans to meet every however many years to discuss the armistice, and it notes that the Cylons have never actually showed up.

I think the first episode of the actual series is the one where their ship has to jump like every 33 minutes because the Cylons keep showing up and they're all mentally worn down. Not 100% sure on that one, though. I know it's one of the first few episodes of the series proper.
