Welcome Thon Maker

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Maker's best offensive season was his rookie year playing with Delly on the court with him.

I don't think he is anything more than a camp body. He is completely lost as an offensive player.

Nothing to lose with this signing. Still very young......might as well take a chance and see what he can bring.

One of the worst basketball IQs I’ve ever seen. There was a moment a couple years back where he ducked under a rebound during a key moment in the game. His mind was clearly somewhere else and he snapped back to reality with a ball flying at his head.

At least that gives us 3 7 footers for the guards to practice scoring over?

Yeah this rebuild is looking REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAL good. :chuckle:

I think Thon Maker sucks but there's nothing wrong with this signing. Extremely low risk. Camp deal. Maybe he sees the writing on the wall and starts to blossom. It's doubtful, but on the super cheap it's not a bad gamble.

If his effort sucks or he shows no signs of improving he'll be gone before the season even starts.

I tend to agree, that more than likely, Thon is JUST a camp body. I might be incorrect but I think he's had some of his better games versus us? 23 years young and he is a man with size. Thon shoots three's decently? He tries them I know....

His BB IQ though just isn't there. I actually like Bolden better in terms of making the roster.

He can play the role of fat guy with a broom.

He has the build of a broom handle.

Maker has some of the worst hands for a big in the league unfortunately. If he gets playing time he is going to fumble a lot of guaranteed layups.

He can hit that corner 3 pretty good, but he is not very good with shot selection. I am ok with it, but I have low expectations.
