2020 Offseason

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hopefully not. I mean, I want this team to be good and I think they have some talent, but they have to wait another year :(

Have you warmed up on Okoro? Shot looks good. Probably needs a ton of reps, but it doesn't look like MKG

I never compared his shot to MKG. If he had this terrible outlook I would have protested the pick.

Ofcourse I have warmed up. There is a lot to like.. I just hope you got this one right.

Sorry wasn't suggesting you did. That was the fear that was brought up plenty in comparisons. I think his shot isn't nearly that bad. MKG just by looking at him today, you can tell he can't shoot and or has something mentally wrong in regards to shooting.

I know there are wings that can't shoot, but I can't think of any that have his touch that couldn't figure it out.

He looks good passing the ball too. IF actual playmaking is something he can excel at, he only needs a 35% 3 pt shot.

I just can't see how he looks with NBA spacing. I think his game is suited more to the NBA. I really like he isn't going to be looked at as a go to scorer this year, and he can be opportunistic and grow into his role.

The stuff about Windler isn't surprising. He came into the league with a first-rate NBA skill, and shooting is always valued. Looking forward to seeing him on the floor with Delly on occasion, because Delly will know exactly how to feed him.

I am sort of excited by passing from every position. Even Drummond is a better passer than Tristan. Windler and Okoro both bring passing ability, and I have my fingers crossed for growth or even just "fitting in" passing from Garland and Sexton.

Windler is the guy i'm most scared is going to raise the floor of this team this season and rob us of a top 5 pick.

They will shut him down the last 10 games lol. Cavs are going to have to be creative. Teams cannot rest their guys on televised games this year which the Cavs have 0 of, that means the win total is going to be artificially high because they will rest their healthy stars against the Cavs.

Not to be a dick, but you are all over the place.

The Giannis part makes no sense..
Not to be a dick, but I'm saying I don't think 2nd round picks have been worth much in the past but I'm willing to admit they may be more valuable in the future as the level of international talent improves.

My original point was that the 2026 second round pick we got in a trade isn't really an "asset", but I'm willing to reconsider. Who knows what things will be like in five years?

I'm saying perhaps the Cavs could look for younger players overseas who aren't ready for the NBA but whose rights could be secured with a 2nd round pick, kind of like investing in a growth stock. That wasn't the case with Giannis, who was a first round pick, but I wasn't talking about him specifically, but somebody like him. I believe he grew a couple of inches after he was drafted and of course he filled out and developed a lot of skills he didn't have when he was drafted. I could see the Cavs investing one or more of their many 2nd round picks in a skinny but athletic kid who may be 2-3 years away but would be worth the wait.

Although, Wins are so precious now with the shortened season that teams might not want to risk that, especially against a team that plays really hard, which I think the Cavs will surely try to do every night.

It's really tough. Like I feel like this team can be pretty good, and I so want to enjoy this season; but I also know that we need another pick in this strong draft. The Cavs will have to think of ways to make this team competitive while at the same time lose the required amount of games to be in the bottom 3-5.
