Just checking out his game. This is one of his full game highlights where it shows all the plays he was involved in and includes his misses.
The thing that really sticks out is how involved he is all the time. He just sticks his nose in and that's why Bickerstaff and Larry have said he has such a good nose for the ball.
His passing is like really good. He prob got 3-5 assists at most, but he made 12 really good passes or so. 4 his teammates got stripped not protecting the ball when they were in scoring position and then another few are wide open 3s he got his teammates that they couldn't knock down. He doesn't just move the ball, he moves it to the open man. He knows when he sees 2 defenders that a guy is open and he knows where they are. He's not a creator exactly, but he has very good vision on the floor, and can be a secondary creator especially off the threat of his drive. He's open sometimes too, but he still finds the more open guy. That is pretty high level stuff. He makes those passes fast with quick decisions. If Cedi or Sexton were making those kinds of reads, we would be talking about them differently.
He seems to have a very good spatial awareness on the court. Drawing charges etc. The thing that makes me think he is going to be really good is that he has more awareness than anyone on the floor, he knows where guys are going to be. Delly immediately springs to mind in terms of him seeing something before it happens, or dare I mention Lebron? Just being a step ahead of his competition and really thinking the game quickly. Delly needs that to stay in the league, but coupled with great athleticism it could be a super power.
The activity is great. I think with a better system and especially with him not necessarily being the best guy on the floor he could really thrive. He's going to get to the basket more with NBA spacing and he is going to get more assists with guys who can actually hit a wide open 3.
