Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's just tough finding contracts that fit. I do think Charlotte and Toronto are the most likely teams.

What about Drummond for Lowry? He's old, but he could be the "chris paul" guy we are looking for to help the young guys.

otherwise it woudl basically be Rozier.

I imagine they Trade McGee instead maybe really soon.

There is no way Toronto trade Lowry for Drummond. Lowry is the type of player that does all the little things that help you win games; a much more important cog than his stats suggest.

Norman Powell + other players to match salary + a second rounder may be more like it, especially after Len and Baynes can be traded.

I think we need to consider the possibility of hanging on to Drummond and then helping him find his way to a contender in FA via a S&T in a more realistic 16-22M annual salary. That will open up the number of teams who could trade us a bad contract and a pick or bad contract and promising young player(still developmental though, we’re not getting a young stud for him straight up).

It’s just really hard to find a match for him right now at 29M. Their is such an arms race that a contender trading for him isn’t going to want to just make a lateral move but trading away to many current rotation players for him.

Two fits for him at the deadline “could” be SAC and CHA though. More middling teams that see him as part of their near future “come up” vs elite teams that already count on all their big money guys to help them compete for the title this season.

Yeah, but we don't want Powell or any of those other guys.

why dont we want Powell?

I don't think he is better than any of our guards. We are getting his production from Dotson at 4M basically. He's been good at times, but he is 27. Very up and down guy and oft injured.

Has he ever had an 8 assist game like 25 year old Dotson had the other night? He makes 11M a year.

He's a scorer/defender that plays SG/SF, I owned him in fantasy last season and he regularly scored 20ppg and got steals. He's off to a slow start this season like many Raptors

Powell does indeed have an $11M player option for next season. Decent defender, good 3-point shooter (has made 195 of his 485 attempts from 2018-19 onward, .402). He can drive and create on his own shot. He is usually the third, sometimes second, option when he's not starting so his percentages are not inflated like players that are not worth guarding.

He was great last year before he got injured.

He has not played as well since his return but I am not sure if he lost something, needs more time to get back to last year's shape, or went back to his inconsistency days. Except for VanVleet and Boucher, every other Raptors has disappointed me so far this year.

I doubt Powell will ever have an 8 assist game; his best was 6 and I was surprised it was that high as he is not a good passer; not turnover prone but rarely creates much better scoring opportunities for his teammates.

I believe Powell is a rotation player/spot starter on a good team which, I suspect, is much higher than Dotson's ceiling based on the few games I've seen Damyean play.

I think TT contributes more to winning than Drummond and I would not be surprised at all if Drummond's next contract will be for $12M or less per annum.

The Miami heat also have the contracts match Drummond's salary. Bam is mobile enough to play the 4 position. Am i crazy to think that's a good fit?

Myers Lenoard, Mo Harkless, and Kelly Olynk, two 2nd round picks for Drummond.

Andre playing next to Bam would negatively impact the Heat's spacing. And Butler has been a sub-par 3-point shooter the past few seasons.

Having said that, I think this would a reasonable return as what to expect if Drummond is traded.

Nurkic just broke his wrist, could that mean Portland may be potential Drummond suitors?

I'd rather my dick was 12 inches long? What is your point? I think McGee is much more tradeable. :chuckle:

Yes...but that doesn't mean we actually have to trade him. He would be a perfect backup for Allen.

There's no way for them to absorb all that money. They could be a McGee suitor though.

could you get Trent Jr or Simon from Portland? I know Trent Jr declined an extension from Portland.
