2021 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hate all you want but I want Pitts... Furthermore I haven’t felt so strongly about a QB prospect like Trask since Sanchez...

2 AFC Championship games for ole Sanchize in his first 2 years... Unfortunately the Jets refused to surround him with talent and blew out his flame...

But now there’s Kyle Trask....

Pitts is excellent. Don’t think anyone disagrees with that take.

There’s also an extremely slim chance he falls out of the top 10. So it would cost a first round pick in 2022 and more to move up from 26 to land him.

I think he’s a great prospect, but that just isn’t something I would do.

Trask is a guy I have almost no interest in. Not because I think he’s an awful prospect (although I don’t like him that much), but because he’s going to get drafted much higher than the Browns could justify taking a backup/developmental QB.

If the Browns are going to take a developmental QB (I wouldn’t), it needs to be in like Round 6 or later IMO.

Can yall imagine taking a QB, that isn't Trevor Lawrence, for the Cleveland Browns this Spring? Think that Eagles situation was bad?

Oh you certainly don't take a QB in the first 4-5 rounds.

It wouldn't help much this year, but it seems likely that the Browns are going to move on from Keenum after 2021.

It might make sense to draft a guy late (6th-7th round) in this year's draft to groom for a year with the plan being to have that player replace Keenum as Baker's backup in 2022, saving like 5-6M or so in the process.

That concept makes sense. I was, specifically, talking about the suggestion the Browns get Trask, though...

What are folks thoughts on Parsons? With all the reports coming out regarding him harassing teammates and generally being kind of a shithead, he seems to be sliding pretty significantly down the 1st round.

the reporting on Parsons is severe enough that I think you have to take it into consideration when contemplating picking him up. Where do y’all stand on the issue?
Honestly being from the Harrisburg pa area it’s not surprising. He’s also the same kid that started a lunch room riot in highschool and had to transfer schools halfway through the year bc of it. Great player but needs to grow up

I thought he’d slip just because of the type of linebacker he is. I don’t trust him in coverage, and he could go way too high for a guy who can’t cover anyone.

I like Togai as a potential replacement for Ogunjobi. I just worry he will come off the board quicker than anticipated.

I thought Togai was going back to OSU?

The Browns need help in the secondary, but adding a talented interior rusher with the ability to play the run is a worthwhile choice.

26. Cleveland Browns: CB Jaycee Horn, South Carolina

The Cleveland Browns impressed with a run to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs and an opportunity to knock off the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, before coming up a little short.

The season essentially came down to Cleveland's inability to get a stop in a crucial situation. The Browns defense did everything in its power to bend and bend and bend before, usually, breaking.

Due to the uncertainty of Greedy Williams' injured shoulder and both Terrance Mitchell and Kevin Johnson set to enter free agency, the Browns' need at cornerback opposite Denzel Ward is vast.

South Carolina's Jaycee Horn can bring the dawg mentality back to Cleveland's secondary. Like Ward, Horn is a fierce competitor and sticky man-to-man cover corner. After rotating through fourth- and fifth-string options due to injuries and extenuating circumstances, the Browns should jump all over the opportunity to select Horn.

When I see a CB named "Jaycee Horn," I feel like this is Jason Seahorn's attempt at returning to the NFL under a slightly changed name. :chuckle:
