Just read a very long, detailed column in The Athletic on Drummond trade possibilities. (Oops, I guess this is now the Dean Wade thread but whatever). Anyway, it's what we all know - he's a dinosaur that doesn't fit the modern game plus he makes way too much money for what he brings. On top of that none of the teams that can use him have the salaries to give up to match unless they're going to send us current rotation pieces.
The conclusion the author came to after talking to four NBA execs about the situation is the most likely outscome is a buyout and Drummond signing with the Nets. A deal with Toronto and a third team is possible but the execs feel they'd be just as well off keeping Powell.
One of the trade scenarios, which I believe has been presented on this board, has four players coming back in order to make the money work. However, that means the Cavs would have to cut three players. Every trade possibility seems to present a problem for one of the teams involved.
