Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yeah I saw in one of those last 4 games Wade played 16 minutes and Delly played 36. Wade outscored him 2-0. Lol. That was the last of the undrafted white guys time for the Cavs I guess.

Shut up it doesnt fit his narrative.

Dean Wade is the greatest player ever, you should know that.

In that game Delly had five boards and Wade two. That means Delly got a rebound every seven minutes and your boy needed eight minutes. Two points and two boards in 16 minutes. Shocking that JBB didn’t start him ahead of Kevin Love the next game.

You know i was being sarcastic right? I think Dean Wade is a borderline NBA player. I dont see a good NBA player there.

If you watch Dean Wade play and don’t think “man, that guy has Paul Pierce written all over him,” then I have to question your talent-evaluation skills.

The ultimate fans who haven’t coached a day in their lives but they’re good keyboard coaches.

I would love to see Dean Wade earn more minutes.

At the same time, we could easily say "The ultimate HS coach who thinks he knows what is going on at the NBA level" to you.

I can't imagine dying on the hill of Dean Wade...

I also can't imagine being willing to lose my job because I refused to give Dean Wade 30 min a night *IF* he actually earned it...

Are we really to the point where we think a coach who was given a soft mandate to get his team to compete for the playoffs this year is *not* playing the dudes that help the team win the most games? That a coach willing to put out Allen and Drummond on the court in the "small ball era" would refuse to play a capable dude real game minutes?

My favorite Cavaliers were/are Kevin Porter Jr and Cedi Osman. I dont blame the organization for them not being all stars or playing big minutes. Sometimes the people we like just aren't that good or the right fit. And that's OK.

Just read a very long, detailed column in The Athletic on Drummond trade possibilities. (Oops, I guess this is now the Dean Wade thread but whatever). Anyway, it's what we all know - he's a dinosaur that doesn't fit the modern game plus he makes way too much money for what he brings. On top of that none of the teams that can use him have the salaries to give up to match unless they're going to send us current rotation pieces.

The conclusion the author came to after talking to four NBA execs about the situation is the most likely outscome is a buyout and Drummond signing with the Nets. A deal with Toronto and a third team is possible but the execs feel they'd be just as well off keeping Powell.

One of the trade scenarios, which I believe has been presented on this board, has four players coming back in order to make the money work. However, that means the Cavs would have to cut three players. Every trade possibility seems to present a problem for one of the teams involved.

Read the same article. I think if we get a trade, it will be something no one is talking about. Kings maybe?

The Kings have Holmes, Whiteside, Metu and Bagley that can play the 5. Apparently they don't want cap relief from Barnes, Joseph or Hield. There's not likely to be a deal there.

Yeah, unfortunate. Holmes is better than Drummond too. Bagley sucks but might be something. I would've lived Barnes. He is exactly what we need on the wing

I was responding to the head of the Wade cheering section. My opinion is similar to yours. JBB would play him if he thought that would help. The man desperately needs wins.

I should have mentioned current coach.
Are you a Dean Wade relative? Or perhaps belonged to the same fraternity? The lengths you go to to assume weird conspiracies about why the coaching staff and FO don’t play him is fascinating.
