Game Thread 2020-21 Season | Game #36 | Pacers @ Cavs | March 3, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Drummond trade better net a guard that can make the play. I don't care how many dildos are part of that deal.

BULLSHIT

Garland had 2 turnovers to McConnell

The other 7 in the first half weren't him

Try again

There were a metric shit-ton of missed calls, but the offense just can't operate with Sexton at the point without some next level offensive sets to cover it all up.

We have neither a backup point or an offensive system to hide it.

When Garland with out the ball did stop moving. He’s a playmaker.
We have four playmakers on the team: Sexton, Nance, Garland, Love

Those are the guys who can consistently create for both themselves and for others. After Garland went out(was having a great game with 15 points and 5 assists in 19 minutes), that left us with one playmaker and one ball handler(the same guy) for the final 19:24 minutes

What a collapse lol

Garland getting hurt being a factor but also an underrated one was the incredibly long minutes JBB gave McGee after Garland went out and he was -15 in his 18 minutes. Weird decision by JBB assuming JA wasn’t hurt.

What a stupid game to lose. Had the game under complete control.

When do we get rid of Osman? I can't watch him kill the team any more.
Right, he took like 4 straight shots, missed them all. I knew Indy was going to take the lead then.

The thing is that game the stretch in the 1st half where Garland was the only ball handler was also an abject disaster. Same thing happened. Three straight plays that led to 3 straight TOs (all by McConnell) and then Garland got pulled pretty quickly.

Osman is supposed to be the secondary ball handler but we got one of his wild swing games tonight where he just fell off a cliff. HAd he given us any sign of life we win that game.

this right here is all garland. the one with allen on it, garland made a lousy pass allen wasn't able to catch properly. and this is 5 feet away from the 3 pt line in a half court set.

Bench sucks, Prince, Cedi, Dotson and Windler.
None of those guys have stepped up in fact they all suck.
I'll cut Windler a little slack being his first year.
Cedi doesn't have IT, just look overmatched too often.

I mean honestly Garland going out was secondary.

That was timed up almost exactly with McConnell coming in for his 1st stint of the 2nd half.

They had no answer to his ball pressure. Garland got eaten up when he came in the 1st half too.

And yea, I agree with Rchfld. That was a lot on the coaching.

They missed Garland's scoring more than anything else. Wade didn't score in the second half until a garbage time layup. Windler, Okoro, Dotson, and Osman contributed almost nothing offensively. Prince is worthless. Sexton didn't have a great second half, but he was the only one they had to guard.

The one bright spot would be how Sexton played when he has some help. 21 and 10 until Garland went out. You don't have to worry about how he would play with a good team around him. But when he's out there with Dotson and Osman, the defense focuses exclusively on him.
