I'm going to say it... shit, I can't keep it in...
The Cavs are objectively not a team that matters this season. It's the dirty secret of the NBA - the bottom ten just don't matter, no matter what.
The team on paper would be much better with a healthy Love. They would be much better with Nance AND Love.
But were they going to do anything significant? Were they going to make it to the second round?
Nope.
If Love and Nance are healthy next season with these young guys maturing, maybe they are an Eastern Conference good team. I don't think I have to point out that "Western Conference good" and "Eastern Conference good" are totally different.
So the immediacy of this Love hate just doesn't make any sense to me. Not when the youth, inexperience, and errors of our young core is just as problematic as Love not playing. And yes, I get irritated that Cavs fans refuse to discuss the mistakes of the young at length on order to pile on the injured vets. Those young players need the old heads. They need them badly, because they beat themselves often. One of these things is not like the other. One can be changed by the player, the other is out of his hands.
But this is the internet and people are allowed to believe falsehoods and write about it.
