NFL Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Zeitler isn't nearly as good now as he was with the Browns, but he's still steady.

Solid move and price for the Ravens even if he isn't the same Pro Bowl caliber player he used to be.

This would be interesting... sounds like no way Brown stays in Baltimore. Getting a nice young, cheap WR like Chark helps a lot of that team's problems on offense. Let Chark play the X, move Hollywood Brown to the Z, and now you have an actual NFL receiving group, instead of having Mark Andrews be your primary receiver. Brown and Robinson make nice bookends for Jacksonville's new QB.

This is a great deal for both teams. Chark was poorly used. Very bullish on him.

Was he poorly used?

I thought it was just that Jacksonville had poor QB's.

Chark's a solid X in the league. Orlando Brown is a better player, but since he doesn't want to be in Baltimore, trading him like this works out well for both teams.

I think Lamar Jackson still won't be able to throw the ball, but Chark is certainly the best receiver he's had.

I thought so. Weirdly in Phoenix, I saw too many Jags/Bucs/Panthers games.

I sort of think he’s a touch misused in that he seemingly only ran deep routes, almost exclusively. And, with a shit QB, lead to nothing of value.

Brown should bring in more than Chark.

As someone who has Chark in dynasty, I hate this. Goes from being paired with Lawrence and his cannon arm to Lamar Jackson overthrowing him.

Stepping away from one poster's constant bad faith arguments, the NFL is looking to join the NBA by establishing an NFT strategy to monetize their product:

Surprised no one has posted about the new NFL TV rights agreements. Looking like the series of agreements will total in the neighborhood of $100 billion or more.

Some of the big changes:

- Thursday Night Football to exclusively air on Prime Video (15 regular season games and one preseason game per year)
- ABC back in the Super Bowl rotation for the first time since 2006 (Super Bowl LXI and LXV)
- Flex scheduling for Monday Night Football after Week 11
- Game simulcasts on the digital platforms of CBS (Paramount+), Fox (Tubi) and NBC (Peacock)
- Sunday morning International Series game to exclusively air on ESPN+
- Peacock to air "one exclusive national game" a year from 2023-2028 and “deliver an exclusive feed of a select number of NFL games over the course of the agreement.”

Also, seems like the expectation is that this will bump the cap to around $200 million for the 2022 league year and $230 million+ for 2023.
