Any poker players around?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone want to have a hand history discussion? I'm starting to take some better notes can share some random hands. Here's one from last week:

First hand of a MTT, 10,000 starting stacks

Blinds are 15/30 antes 4

Hijack limps
I call to complete big blind (7h 8s)
Bb checks

Pot 118

Flop: 7d 8h 10h

I bet 60
BB min raises to 120
HJ folds

Pot 358

Turn: 7d 8h 10h As

I bet 140
BB min raises to 280
I call

Pot 918

River: 7d 8h 10h As 7c
I bet 400
BB raises to 920.

I called the raise but I'm thinking I should've 3bet to roughly 2200.

Easy 3bet, and a big one.

He doesn't have TT there as he wouldn't check that on the BB, and he obviously shouldn't check 88 either, he has no AA obviously as well. So you are only losing to 4 combos of T7.. which is so little.

After he raises flop, should I have bet the turn or check and let him take the lead there?

just check.. I don't like donking there as it accomplishes nothing. Both of you don't have many A in your range and you are still ahead of most of his value range and you want to keep bluffs in his range.
I would just call and raise river.

Man I misplayed this hand, big time. Very helpful though, I really appreciate it!

No problem.. keep it coming.

I'm not much of a tourney player. I play cash, but I'm pretty good post flop, so I can help with that.

That's probably my biggest area for improvement, so I'll definitely be sharing more in the future.

Blinds 35/70 Antes 9

Folds to me in the HJ (9479) I raise to 180 w (As 7h).
Cutoff (9343) is the same villain as above and calls 180. (playing roughly 25% of hands, usually just calling raises, hasn't 3bet to this point, small sample I know)
BB (9209) also calls 180.

Flop 7s 9c 3h Pot - 656

BB Check, I bet 270, CO calls.

Turn 7s 9c 3h 3d Pot - 1196
I bet 470, CO calls

River: 7s 9c 3h 3d 6c - Pot 2136
I bet 700, CO Calls

Looking back at this hand I think I hate the entire line. My pair of 7s isn't beating much, so I'm not really sure why I'm leading here. My bets aren't getting anything of consequence to fold here. My question would be, based on the board and how it played out, is check/calling the flop bad and reevaluating on the turn and river if CO leads again?

53 people, $11 buyin, $10 add-on, in for $21, won $338.

Any reason you open A7o from the HJ? I don't open this hand ever from the HJ

on the flop and turn and I check call and evaluate the river... probably fold to a river bet.

You say that villain hasn't 3bet yet, so he could have a set of 9's, TT, heck even JJ if he is stupid enough I suppose lol. There just aren't any draws out there that would make me think he floats you with worse equity hands.

It may be a little loose, I won't argue that, but I'm playing around with my opening ranges factoring in antes.

I don't play ante..never studied it, so yeah... do you have any preflop ranges for ante games, or you are constructing them yourself?

I'm using a combo of pokercoaching.com normal ranges and upswing opening tournament ranges with antes. I think A7o still feels light 60+ BB deep but I'm still trying to play exploitative because although a lot of these players are solid, I don't think they are playing GTO.

Once the pandemic is over, maybe we should do an RCF Poker get together. Doesn't even have to be for money, just for fun.

God damnit.. I'm running 12 Buy-ins below EV last few days... still winning even after rake :O
