2020-2021 Cavs Season General Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Following up on my last post...

Teams that are OBVIOUSLY tanking

1.) Minnesota (11-36)
2.) Houston (13-33)
3.) Pistons (13-33)
4.) Orlando (15-31)

teams that are on the verge of it

5.) Cavs (17-30)
6.) Washington (17-28)
7.) Raptors (18-29)
8.) Thunder (19-27)

Of the teams 5-9 I listed

5.) Cavs --- SHOULD BE TANKING!! No questions asked
6.) Washington - They oddly try to compete some nights.. they just suck
7.) Raptors -- I actually think we could put them in the tanking group. They have caved and even got embarrassed by Detroit last night
8.) Thunder -- Tank has begun... shutting players down, trading vets etc... We're lucky we're 2 games up on them

I'd love to see us slide back in the top 3 by the end of the year for obvious reasons draft wise... If we are the 5th worst record we could technically slide to 9th if the balls don't fall our way..

TANK!!!!!!!!!!!

The Cavs had the Kings beat until the last 1.6 seconds when they decided a) not to contest the inbounds pass, b) not to contest the catch by Barnes, and c) not to contest the shot. The Kings are on a roll having won seven of their last eight with the only loss coming on the road against Philadelphia. IOW, they are not a bad team right now and the Cavs came within a whisker of beating them in their building on the second night of a back-to-back.

And that was without a center.

Give me that team plus Allen and Hartenstein and let's see what they can do in the last 25 games with no west coast trip. Once Nance and Allen get back, which will hopefully be Thursday, we'll see what we have. The schedule is a nice mix of strong teams (Philly, Miami, New Orleans, OKC), and average to bad teams. Once everybody (except Love, of course) is healthy we'll get a good look at where we stand going into next year.

The final version of the 2020-21 Cavaliers team is finally about to emerge. There have been plenty of changes. Drummond and McGee are out; Allen and Hartenstein are in. Osman and Windler have been removed from the rotation (proof that no tanking is taking place). Wade and Thomas are getting more minutes. Prince is back after missing six weeks (except for 27 minutes in two games). I think all the changes are done and the cake is finally baked. Now we'll see where we are.

Well, i don't know where is the PORN thread, so...

“ I may not know how to run a basketball team but I can run a lingerie show.”

Worth noting that Ted was an ad man. Not exactly Don Draper though.

hopefully this isn’t the next city edition uniform. straight trash.

What is today?
Man. Who knows if it’s an April fools joke? Lol the last few Cavaliers uniforms have been tragic.

I hope your right though.

I don't understand some people they bitch and complain about the team losing but want the team to tank..That logic makes no dayum sense at all.

Didn't see this before. Says the players weren't happy Drummond was sat. Yeah it is Sam The Bullshit Whisperer, but still. Also says what a lot of us have said the dust ups Altman has had with players doesn't sit well.

I’m not taking this too seriously because Sam has obviously had an axe to grind with the org all year. If we hear this from other Cavs sources though, I’ll be concerned. Especially the stuff about Garland. Thanks for sharing.

I find part of myself hoping for a second bout of Covid to shut the season down again.....damn sport seems to be more about whining and drama than it does about whatever is supposed to be happening between the lines.

Porter is tearing it up alright. That article read like written by a 15 year old kid

You should see the one he wrote about not having access to the Cavs FO. One of the most childish things I’ve read from someone who calls themselves a beat writer.

I believe some of it. All you have to do is go back and listen to the players talk after Drummond was benched. Seems like Altman was stuck on getting a second round pick that all talks was canned.

I really hope Altman is not the GM for next season. He’s too incompetent for me. No where is he close to Chris Grant in acquiring assets. He doesn’t know how to manage players. His draft picks are iffy. I’m just not a fan. I think he’s one of the worst GMs in Cavs history. Time to move on.
