In China he is known as "Salted Egg"

Getting hard to recommend much with cgi ruining everything

Berserk was ruined, Overlord season 3 was trash, Goblin Slayer probably got the best deal of the group but still it's kinda off

One Punch Man season 2 wasn't as bad animation wise as I expected but still a pretty big step back from season 1

I'd say watch Hunter x Hunter and wait till these animation studios bankrupt themselves on tat

Edit: On second thought...Goblin Slayer wasn't ruined by CGI....it was greatly hurt by censorship of later episodes after the absolutely rage of episode 1 (wasn't even from the US crowd so don't bitch about sjws) as well as the decision to not inner monologue the Goblin Lord's thoughts like in the manga.

If season 2 does happen at least there won't be anything major to censor this time.....ah shit nvm...manga hasn't gotten to Noble Fencer yet

I am guessing we don't have a lot of anime watchers on the board?

If people have been what have you been watching?

I am caught up in Black Clover, though after this arc, it could start running too long to get another good story going, but so far its been good!

I have been watching a lot of Isekai animes of late since they have some interesting stories. I like By the Grace of the Gods (Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko), its a more light hearted one without a ton of action, but I like the premise.

Just got caught up on the My Hero Academia manga, I can't wait to see the next arcs in the anime. Huge fight scenes incoming

Some of the good ones I've seen and can recommend as of late:

1. My Hero Academia - can get childish at times but the plot, story, and action are great.

2. Yowamushi Pedal - it's about a HS Cycling team. Has common anime-style sport "power ups" but they are not overly done. The damn thing actually pushed me to buy a bike.

3. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demonslayer - clean animation, cool fights, cool story.

*4. Kingdom - it's based on the great warring states of China. The manga is 10x better tho as the anime animation looks wonky to me. I'm hoping for a Hunter x Hunter type anime reboot. Amazing story and character progression.

Great thread!

I love My Hero Academia!

Munou na Nana is kind of the anti-My hero, even has a similar art as well.

Log Horizon just got a new season so that is something I have been looking forward too as well!!!

Jujutsu Kaisen is a new one thats supposed to be good, just havent gotten around to watching it just yet.

Ore dake Haireru Kakushi dungeon is a semi-serious accidental harem lol

Been looking for something new to watch. Ive heard good things about Jujutsu Kaisen. Most recent thing I finished was God of High School which was surprisingly solid.

What type of anime do you like? I am pretty sure if you liked a Naruto type of anime, you will like Jujutsu Kaisen. It's not exactly a ninja one, but the action/fighting scenes are more the martial arts type while dealing with paranormal/shadow enemies.

I end up watching a lot of isekai since thats about 80% of what gets made anymore. I do enjoy a good shounen, so it sounds like Jujutsu Kaisen is right up that alley.

I should probably catch up on Black Clover too

I'm caught up on Black Clover, it's been pretty good (though I think once this arc is completely finished, it will be hard to do another good arc without a legit time jump...)

Remake of Shaman King is starting (1st episode out today). Edens Zero almost feels like a mix of Radiant elements with Dragon Quest elements while in outer space. So I am not sure about that yet (2nd episode is out)

Kanata no Astra (Astra lost in space) ends up being a pretty good 12 episode series.

I've been reading the light novels for Rising of the Shield Hero, By the Grace of the Gods etc lately. By the Grace of the Gods was a bit rushed, it would have actually been better to add more episodes and detail and followed the light novel a little more.

I am way behind on Black Clover. I put it down in the middle of the Witch's Forest arc and have to catch back up. I hear it has gotten a lot better since.

I have heard the second season of Re:Zero is pretty good. I remember watching the first season when it came out and I read most of the series a few years back, although I have almost no recollection of what happened. I also heard Log Horizon is finally getting a third season which is exciting.

Gotcha, yeah you are pretty far behind then lol So far in fact I cannot say anything about it then.

I need to finish working on The:Zero, I just bought the game for it, but it's a totally different story in the game. Log Horizon is on like episode 11 or 12 in the third season. I need to rewatch everything again for it haha

Did you watch like Rising of the Shield Hero? I would hope so lol It's one of my more recent favs and its likely going to be a long series since it's already got two more seasons confirmed (and light novel volume 19 comes out soon and I think the 1st season covers like 5 or 6, I cannot remember)

I read ahead at some point at least to the end of the whole Elves thing.

I need to rewatch Log Horizon too. I last watched it like 5 years ago.

Rising of the Shield Hero was excellent. I think it was one of the best shows in the last 2-3 years, up there with Kimestu no Yaiba and Hoseki no Kuni. I am excited for the next season of Shield Hero.
