2021 March Madness

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm going Baylor tonight.

They have just enough defense in their 3 guard rotation to tilt the scales in an otherwise evenly matched Championship game
It's the game we've all been waiting for. By far the two best teams in college hoops. Round 1 was canceled due to Covid earlier in the season.

I'm really excited to watch Mitchell vs. Suggs. That Baylor backcourt is a legit NBA backcourt. I think we'll see one helluva game.

But when Joel Ayayi is like your 4th most important player.... you're a pretty damn good team. I don't usually ride the frontrunners, but Gonzaga has one of the best college teams I've ever seen. Rolling with them.

It's going to be the exciting. I see Gonzaga as a pro team in the starting lineup with unexciting mid-major conference players off the bench. If the Zags stay out of foul trouble, it's a historic win for the WCC, who haven't seen a run like this since Bill Russell.

I know how you feel about your WCC, and I've been struggling with favoring scammy Drew (bootleg Calipari) over Few (really great coach who does it the right way and is due by my account)

Baylor has more depth and they have a better defensive backcourt in those three guards and I cant see past that. THOUGH, I'm secretly hoping the Zags pull this off.

This is going to be a REALLY good matchup. We're talking the Defensive Player of the Year and a upperclassman who's paid his dues and developed over his collegiate career being matched up with this decorated one-and-done who who hasn't had too many matchups where he's seen THIS kind of grown man locked in on him.

Takes me back to that 1997 final where freshman Mike Bibby (and his Wildcats of Arizona) were matched up against defensive wizard, Junior Wayne Turner (and his Wildcats of Kentucky). Coming off that semifinal game where Bibby and Miles Simon broke my heart (never forgave Jamison for that game), I was rooting for them but expected Turner and Anthony Epps to lock down Zona's backcourt.

If History is any indication, the more offensively talented Zag backcourt might be able to cut down the nets tonight.

Damnit... now you two have me hopeful and thinking about switching my pick :chuckle:

Thinking about the great names of players coming out of the West Coast Conference since Bill Russell and KC Jones had their run...

Steve Nash, John Stockton, Quinton Dailey, Bill Cartwright, Bo Kimble & Hank Geather's ghost, several coaches who worked at schools where I taught... Delly, of course. It's time for a WCC champ for all those guys.

Sold @Randolphkeys

Give me a Zag title tonight and I'll be happy

Oh... And you can't forget about one of my favorite combo guards of all time, the Pepperdine Waves most famous alum, Dennis Johnson

I was focusing on all the good players who didn't win a championship, and DJ had championship rings to spare. Great ball in the WCC, going back to when Eric Spoelstra and Mike Brown faced off as opposing point guards.

Hope you're not taking my betting advice. Absolute dominance by the Bears thus far.

Baylor remembered how to shoot in the Final Four and haven't forgotten tonight. This isn't going to go well because the refs are starting to lean towards the aggressors on 50/50 calls.

I do love Timme for Reelin' in the Years...
