Of the list from the OP:

Absolutely- Allen, Kluber, Cookie, Santana, Hafner

The rest I lean yes on with the exception of Bauer, who I lean no on.

I didn't double check the years from the others, but his Indians resume is really only about 5.5 years as I have a hard time counting his 4 games in 2013 as a year. And while he was good & valuable in his 5.5 years here, he was only really great in one of those seasons. Shame that comebacker essentially took away his 2018 Cy Young.

Years later, Fernando Vina would admit to using steroids on ESPN. /Morgan Freeman narrator voice.
I mean, most of the guys in that era probably did.

It doesn't make Albert Belle any less of an asshole and an all-around terrible person.

The only reason we don't hate him is he was our asshole.

I have a pretty hard criteria for any kind of hall of fame.
Kluber, sure. Los, ok, Allen, maybe.
But the rest of these guys?
I'd rather vote for Chris Perez and his dog.

I used the current members somewhat to base my opinions.

If Alomar Jr is in, Victor seems like he should be as well.

If Nagy is in, Kluber/Carrasco have to be.

If Baerga got in, Kipnis probably should.

Santana and Allen are both deserving as well.

Kluber, Allen, and Carrasco for sure.

But if you go by the quality of players already inducted...

If Andre Thornton qualifies, so do Victor, Santana, Hafner, and Brantley.

I was at the Angels game in July 1995. We were down two runs in the ninth with two on and Baerga walks. He trots backwards to 1B pointing hard with both hands right at Albert.

Lee Smith was on the mound.

Albert gets to x balls two strikes, then he fouls a pitch off. Guy next to me screams “Smith is out of pitches, he’s got nothing left to throw, next one is gone.”

Next pitch ... dead center and way over the fence.

Belle was a total badass.

I still tell people out here on the East Coast that we had Thome and Manny batting 6/7 or 7/6 and they can hardly believe it. SAJ batted ninth. That lineup was brutal. It was a great summer when the Tribe, finally, were the bullies.
I too was at that game... It was my birthday! Believeland!

Giving me memories of watching games in the '90s. Those Indians teams just overpowered everyone. Sure, a pitcher might make it twice through the order unscathed... but three times through the order? No chance. And the other team's bullpen? Hahahahaha.

Those Indians teams fucked.

Victor cried the day he was traded. Los has signed with other teams twice. I give the nod to Victor.

Paul Sorrento & Eddie Murphy never get enough love on the 95 team. A lot of quality vets on that team as well. Pitching blew but it didn't matter. Best team to not win it. As great as they were though, I'd argue 96 & 97 teams were better as Thome and Manny came into their own and as pitchers began to be a priority.

I was almost 6 years old as we played the Red Sox in the playoffs. I remember everyone being really excited all summer & my family having to watch every game but as a 5 year old; you don't get it, you just go with it. It should have been unanimous, but the AP did a complete 180 and picked the 2nd best guy. He was a monster while here and one of the forgotten guys of the 90s. I took it personal when he left (I was 7 or 8) , but I get it now.

50/50 aside I always felt he was the type of personality these last few teams lacked. A bunch of floppy cocks that fell over if the wind blew. I think we win 2 WS if we had half of Belles production with the same attitude these past few years.

Watching Belle blast a HR after the umps checked his bat was the epitome of Albert Belle. Once he pointed to his bicep, I was fucking hooked. That was the 1st time a sports moment was injected into my veins. He was an asshole, but his cockiness was needed on a team full of mostly vanilla guys. It rubbed off and to me, was almost as important as his MVP season.
