For those who stream, the regional sports networks including Bally Sports (Ohio) have priced themselves off of YouTube TV and Hulu Live TV. While I have access to most mlb games through MLB.TV thanks to T-Mobile, my VPN is not working with Spectrum internet so Tribe games are blacked out. In the future, we may be able to order Tribe broadcasts via a la cart.

I've never understood why $120 a year for MLBtv is an impediment for most baseball fans. If you don't have internet today, you are seriously underprivileged and chances are baseball isn't on your "to do" list. Would I like to see more games on free TV to perhaps spur interest in the game among a broader population? Sure. But do I think it would make a real difference? Nope, I do not. It may have when all that existed were channels 3, 5, 8 and 43, but those days are loooooong gone.

The issues is that the games on MLB.TV will be blacked out if you are in the region.

What VPN are you using? I have PIA and it wasn’t working this year until I picked a location in Canada. Then it was fine.

What if I live in Cleveland? MLBtv is blacked out even though I can’t stream the games anywhere else. It doesn’t matter if it costs $120 or $12. I can’t watch.

What if I live out of market and I cut the cord to save costs? Adding an additional $10/month just to watch something I should be getting on the package I’m already paying for defeats the purpose.

As @mopete12 said, blackouts are a huge issue.

I have MLBtv (also through T-Mobile Tuesdays), but I can only watch non-Cleveland games (haven't tried the Reds/Pirates)

MLB TV, Bally, and Fox Sports are all part of an AT&T streaming package, but be careful Indians and Reds home and away games are blacked out in some areas.

I got the package precisely for those three outlets and receive zero Indian games. I live no where near Cleveland.

I stand corrected. Of course this is a significant issue, unless you are sophisticated enough to bypass blackouts in an unauthorized fashion. Yes, it's a serious matter if your local provider is at an impasse with someone who has rights to your region. I've lived in an Orioles/Nationals "territory" for over 15 years and have never been able to watch any of their games live because the local cable company refuses to negotiate with MASN. It took me awhile, but I've learned to "adjust."

You can watch Reds games from the Cleveland area on mlb.tv if you are inclined.

I'll post a pic of the blackout areas later, but northeastern Ohio only has the Indians blacked out. Columbus area actually has three blackouts (Pirates, Indians and Reds) Toledo has three blackouts as well (Tigers instead of the Pirates).

The biggest issue with this there are areas in the Nation not near any MLB club with blackouts (how is that even fair...)

5 to 8 years ago (while I worked in NW Wisconsin) I was able to get Tribe games via mlb.tv unless they were playing Minnesota (90 minutes away) or Milwaukee (210 minutes away). In those cases, I was able to pick up the local cable feeds.

In all cases I was able to get the Hammy radio broadcast via the MLB at-bat app. I was also able to get the radio broadcasts of the entire CLE farm system via the milb/ First pitch app..

I haven't checked, but I live near Portland OR, and I assume MLBTV blacks out the Seattle Mariner home games. 175 miles away.

What an absurd, archaic model these guys are running forcing 40+ million cord cutters to change back to an inefficient and costly cable provider by holding sports hostage.

I haven't been able to watch a Cavs game all year and haven't seen a second of an Indians game yet.
