2021 NBA PLAYOFFS MEGA THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm sure the 12th men on every single on those late 80's and early 90's teams were just superstars waiting who dominated and played beautiful basketball when they made their 4th quarter of a blowout appearances
Correct

So I know I defend Ainge a lot but what MAY happen in LAC is why you don't mortgage the farm for a chance at a title.

If Kawhi leaves....man oh man.

And considering Ainge was already burned by Kyrie, I don't blame him.

Clippers would have been a better team with Shai, Gallinari 100%. You add all the picks they gave up and the financial flexibility and it's not a contest imo.

I still want my team to at least try win a championship. I agree the Clippers gave up way too much for George, but at least they did it thinking they'd be conf finals/NBA Finals Caliber.

The Clippers will have to tank and start over, while the Celtics will continue their gentle downward path of "plucky 4/5/6 seed" that may or may not win a series every year depending on matchups and if they are hot that week.

I'd rather shoot for the moon, fail, and rebuild than put in work on the treadmill of mediocrity.

And what fans don't understand is the star players in the league agree with you.

It's nothing new. I mean the Cavs sold their souls to get as much talent as they could during Lebron's times. Tried and failed before they got that one championship. Even though they are going to suck for the foreseeable future, I'd say it was worth it.

Clips ain't looking too hot!

Had this EXACT same look on his face last night. Someone needs to explain why all the talking heads and even former players continue to stand up for this guy. Is it because of the ring? Everyone knows Bron coached the '16 Cavs not this guy . . .

Not going to lie, I want to hate the Nets, but that was pretty fun game to watch and when they click that offense is so pretty to watch. It also was cool to see Blake Griffen have a few moments from him younger days with some of the dunks. For how many ISO players the Nets have the ball movement is pretty incredible at time. It does remain me slot of how the Cavs offense looked in 2016 when we won it all. I just wish I did not hate Durant & Harden.

These playoffs have been fun. Even the blowouts. However, I seriously think that some of y'all don't like basketball that much.

My only real complaint about the NBA right now is the million jerseys they have. The main reason I don't like it is because I think that the main reason these new jerseys are being pushed it to appease casual fans.

I can't remember a time in the history of the league when the best players in the league are this widely disrespected by fans. There's not enough appreciation for how good these players are today. It's just a bunch of shit talking and attacks to build narratives and agendas.

Ty Lue was ready to run through a wall to keep Longo, who was running this same defense

That opening round series against Indiana in 2018 gave me Orlando 2009 flashbacks watching Darren Collison, Victor Oladipo, Bogdanovich and Lance Goddamn Stephenson shoot out of their minds while our superior team switched everything and couldnt keep up with the ball moving on the perimeter.

Rick Carlisle is coaching circles around this defense.

Billups and Atkinson will be interviewing for jobs by the first weekend in June and I'm ok with that.

Carlisle gets a lot of credit, but is still underrated.
