2021 NBA PLAYOFFS MEGA THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Clippers are still gonna win this series

No. Its over. Lukas the best player and they're going to a full stadium in Dallas.

Wrap it up and put a bow on it.

Not going to lie, I want to hate the Nets, but that was pretty fun game to watch and when they click that offense is so pretty to watch. It also was cool to see Blake Griffen have a few moments from him younger days with some of the dunks. For how many ISO players the Nets have the ball movement is pretty incredible at time. It does remain me slot of how the Cavs offense looked in 2016 when we won it all. I just wish I did not hate Durant & Harden.

Harden is playing extremely entertaining ball but it all seems unfair.

But you are right. They aren't out there playing iso ball. Hardens transformation in a handful of games has been pretty crazy to watch.

While GS big three was insane, this big 3 is just as crazy good but different. GS would beat you with passing and threes, but Curry and Klay did not have the same iso and ability to breakdown a defense like Harden and Irving can. It will be interesting to see how the Nets look vs Philly and or Milwaukee. If you can’t score or get easy buckets it’s damn near impossible to beat the Nets. The Nets will score no matter what with that lineup.

I laughed when people thought Doc Rivers was the problem for the Clippers last year. We Cavs followers know as well as anyone that Lue isn't a great coach and was certainly NOT an upgrade over Doc. The Clips are still way too top-heavy with a limited supporting cast. The Clippers teams of the last two years are some of the most overrated in history. If the Mavs end up knocking them off in this first round, I won't be surprised at all. I mean, Playoff P had a pretty good game yesterday (other than three-point shooting) for his low playoff standards, and they still lost. Even Kawhi's 40 point heroics weren't enough to save.

What's up with the NBA scheduling? Why would you have two games featuring LeBron, Doncic, AD, Kawhi, PG, Booker, CP3 all on at the same time slot? To make matters worse, have Jazz vs Grizzlies as a standalone 10 pm game tonight.

The clippers look unbeatable against certain teams, but then against others look like paper tigers. They just have some weaknesses that other teams can exploit. Mainly that their best players don't move that ball that well. Their guard play just isn't good enough.

Two years ago MIL was up 2-0 on TOR and Giannis was looking like the best player in that series. TOR won 4 straight and Kawhi took over. Kawhi still hasn't had a bad game this series.

Ty Lue will make adjustments. The Clippers role players will play better. I don't think the Mavs roll players will be hott the whole series.

LAC haven't even started attacking KP on defense yet and breaking down that Dallas D. Once they start picking on KP the tables will turn.

Playoff time slots are predetermined based on seeds and not the actual teams or markets. The NBA didn't know that The Lakers would be a 7 seed. If they did they would be in a more prime viewing slot.

In the interest of fairness it's better for the league to continue to do the time slots due to seeding and not the popularity of certain team. If The Lakers wanted a better time slot the should've been a higher seed.

It's nothing new. I mean the Cavs sold their souls to get as much talent as they could during Lebron's times. Tried and failed before they got that one championship. Even though they are going to suck for the foreseeable future, I'd say it was worth it.

If it wasn't for Durant and our 2015 injuries we would have 2+ titles. As is we got four straight Eastern Conference titles in addition to the one NBA title, it was worth it. What's so frustrating though is that if we had played our cards a little better we could have been even more competitive than we were.

Come on.

Ty couldnt adjust his belt without staring at it for 20 minutes while breathing with his mouth wide the fuck open.

The two things GS had that NJ doesn't was Draymond as a world-class defender and facilitator, really a unique player, and also that Klay was an excellent perimeter defender. Harden/Irving/Durant are at least as good offensively as Klay/Curry/Durant but defensively there's a gap. Still, I question whether they can be beaten.

In the interest of fairness?!?! Damn that logic, we're here to be entertained lol. Either way, it's been a really enjoyable playoffs so far.

I hate how Ty Lue gets dragged and has this bad rep as a horrible coach.

But it's like that with any of LeBron's former teammates and coaches. People always act like they need to prove themselves outside of playing with him as if LeBron James has spent his entire career playing with bum ass players and coaches.

The majority of us still love the dude but we don't have to pretend that every former teammate or coach he's ever had is trash.
