It is less common any org would force that situation into existence, when the starting guards are as good as the Cavs ones have been, especially Sexton.I don't think the issue is as much fans being up in arms as it is neither player himself would be willing to: 1) be consigned to a 6th man role at this point in their career; 2) accept the lower salary that inevitably would come with not being a starter.
Even if it happens to be the right basketball move for the team, the players simply won't stay here long-term if that is going to be their role. Guys like that won't consider staying with their first team as a 6th man. Second or third team, after NBA teams in general decide they don't have starter ability, sure.
I bet they send OkoroHow many think pieces will be written if Grant represents us at the draft lottery next week? Does anyone know if it will be in person again?
Here's an exhaustive list of major conference freshmen who reached at least two of the following major statistical milestones:
Sengun reached all 4, and he did it against pro competition.
Yeah, though he was really close (293 rebounds). Tough to reliably get double-digit boards at 6'7".I always forget how mediocre of a rebounder Zion is for the rest of his kit...
Is this list based on raw accumlated stats or on some type of per minutes/possesions/game basis? Here's an exhaustive list of major conference freshmen who reached at least two of the following major statistical milestones:

That's just raw accumulated stats. Is this list based on raw accumlated stats or on some type of per minutes/possesions/game basis?
Yeah the only hitch with trying to do that in a simulator is not being able to take the pick that was already drawn or the team that got it out of the equation each time. Unless I missed something. Also, the excitement is finally starting to bubble up for me. Just one week, next Tuesday night, until the lotto and us either shouting in joy or proclaiming the league to be broken and rigged.
When running a lotto simulator like the one at tankathon, remember to run it the way the league actually does.
Each pick, 1-4, is actually its own seperate lotto drawing. So the first time you run it, all that matters is who comes up 1. Then you run it for the 2nd pick and the team that comes up first in that picks second. Then run it for the third pick and the team that comes up first has the third pick. Then 4th. After that, everyone else settles in based on draft slot and applying any trades/protections.
No you’re right. If HOU wins the first pick, when you re run it for pick 2, if HOU comes in first again for pick 2, you have to throw that out and run it again. So as an exercise, it requires either good memory or a pencil and paper.Yeah the only hitch with trying to do that in a simulator is not being able to take the pick that was already drawn or the team that got it out of the equation each time. I don't think given the plethora of outcomes suited to fulfill the Cavs lottery luck shortcomings, and minimal odds in their favor, anyone should have any delusions.
The process does much of nothing for me, beyond adding stress to an already messed up situation, where tbh with the odds being greatest they are picking 7th, not bringing much to bank on.
If they win a top 4 pick great, I fully expect to be looking at lower floor options 5-9 range though.
