WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The more the merrier. I'm glad WWE decided to move NXT. Better for all involved. Also glad AEW and WWE were both cool with Jericho appearing on the Non-WWE Network WWE Network. I don't want these companies fueding like it's 1998. I want them in a healthy competition.

Nice little preview for tomorrow's Dynamite. AEW just gets it from a content perspective. Nothing fancy about these promos, in fact you could argue they're just your old school "I am better than you" types but when you have an engaged roster coupled with a talented post-production team, it really accentuates the storytelling. A simple concept executed with sophistication.

I enjoyed PromoMania I last night. Blood and Guts leaning old WCW War-games (must submit or quit) has me excited for next week.

Dax Harwood doesn't get enough recognition for his mic skills IMO. Maybe I am just an FTR mark but they just drip attitude era and I love it.

Anyone getting Double Or Nothing this weekend? I am feeling a bit burned out on wrestling lately but have a feeling now that full crowds are back, I'll be excited again.

I am looking forward to the Stadium Stampede match because I thought the last one was excellent. Also excited to see that they've let Miro run rampant finally.

So this happened last night...

Really bizarre that they referred to him as Tommy End on the broadcast, but also acknowledged that he is Malakai Black

It sounds like they are doing an alter-ego angle, at least that is what I took from Tommy's IG vignette he released. He had mentioned he had prepared a ton of creative for WWE's dark father concept so I have feeling this is a way to save some of the work he put into it.

There is absolutely no reason he can't be AEW's "dark mysterious" cliche character for awhile as long as they don't go full-fiend on it but considering wrestlers have a lot more control over their creative in AEW, not too worried.

Also Andrade had his debut match last night as well. If anyone gave up on the pandemic era wrestling - I can't blame you - but AEW basically is running mini PPVs all month since they're back on the road and likely will start to build new title feuds so best time to get back into it.

I liked the pandemic era. Gave the wrestlers more freedom, more cinematic stuff

If anyone wanted a Brock Lesnar update, he was actually in Creston, Ohio recently filming with the Bearded Butchers
