The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So excited for Metroid Dread. Fusion has been my "Im bored on this plane ride, lets play a game" game for the last 4 years now. Such a fun speed game too. Recently started trying out Super Metroid and been loving that. So happy we finally get what looks like a great extension to one of my favorite franchises!

Maybe we’ll get some info on Prime 4 next year? Lol

Halo multiplayer does look amazing. Gonna sink some hours into that and Battlefield this fall.

My Total War Wahammer stuff.

We've now had full roster reveals for Khorne and Kislev. Truly can't wait for this Beastmen rework. W/o a doubt they are the weakest campaign faction and it's not close.

And on that end, High Elves are easily the best campaign faction and it's not even close. Their economy is insane. It's super easy to confederate all of the Legendary lords, they get the absolute character traits for their Lords and Heroes, and Teclis is the best combat Lord in the game by far.

Rosters look neat but you know we’re all waiting for the other Chaos gods and Cathay.

Anyone pick up Crowfall? I'm a sucker for PVP focused MMOs and am thinking about trying it.

but I know how these things go. TONS of people play it early, then these big huge PVP abttles cause the servers to crash and by the time the devs catch up, a ton of people have quit playing.

Crowfall actually came out? Man, it seemed like the devs were toiling away for half a decade on that game and I just completely lost interest over time. The betas that people played over a year ago weren't painting a pretty picture.

I think big open world pvp combat sounds cooler than it actually is in practice. You usually just end up in a large zerg training smashing buttons without too much strategy or thought. Typically the games also run terribly when so many people are on screen and spells are popping off.

Yea, it usually doesn't work out terrible well.

But Warhammer Online was one of my favorite MMOs ever and I still play the community free server version. So asl ong as the game actually has a community that plays then I think I'll give it a try. The thing that kills PVP MMOs are when the population is low and you can't find anyone to fight.

It's a bummer that game got taken down. My step brother liked it a lot to and it seems to still have enough of a following to keep it alive. Warhammer is also a very big IP.

The same game you didn't finish, now in 4k!

Hey, I actually finished that one! It's probably one of like twenty single-player games that I actually finished in the past decade. Also might be the only open world game* I've finished since Fallout New Vegas. :chuckle:

*Unless the Arkham games after the first one count. I finished all four games in that series and three of them might technically be called open world.

Not you specifically, but even CDPR admitted that most people never finished Witcher 3. A lot would do 30-40 hours and just stop.

I'd imagine that's true for most games in general, and particularly games with over a hundred hours of content. I only finished Witcher 3 because I found the story to be so much more engrossing than your standard open world game.

That being said, I'll probably never replay it despite it being one of the ten best games I've ever played because I don't have as much time now as I did when it came out and the thought of starting over is just daunting at this point in my life.
