2021 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Over his last month Bo Naylor is slashing .257/.297/.457

Last 15 he is slashing .274/.328/.500

Last 10 he is slashing .306/.375/.639

Hardest leap in the minors is A to AA and he completely skipped over High-A ball and went straight to AA as a 21 year old following a missed season. Improvement trend is all that is needed to be seen from him to get him in AAA by the end of the year.

And his defense has been tremendous behind the dish this year.
His defense is the key to me. Need him to stick there. What about calling games/handling pitchers?

They have the Indians ranked 14th overall after the draft. They have Gavin Williams as their 6th ranked prospects and the new Logan Allen also in their top 10 prospects.

Isaiah Greene giving a lot of the old hats in the organization Michael Brantley vibes, in quietness of the swing/mechanics, prep work, work ethic, and IQ at the plate.
Please don't tease me!

I respectfully disagree with their ranking, but whatever.

So, pencil in Chang for starting 2nd base/SS next year too. He does have the highest barrels behind Bradley. But, we are eager for Mercado to take over center with half as many. #s can indicate a few things but its between the lines that matter.

How about the defense comparisons?

If they straighten Wolf out, Gimenez develops at SS, Rosario moves to Center next year then Greene down the road this return be the best return on one of these high end /prospect deals since the Colon return

Chang is the epitome of an AAAA player at this point. He won’t be with the organization next season.

Noel hit a homer yesterday with a 115 mph exit velocity. His first two at bats today he’s hit 495 and 485 foot home runs (not sure if they use statcast in Low A or if it’s an estimate). Not too shabby for just coming back from the IL.

8 homers in 19 games as a Hillcat so far this season... Wow is right @Martyinnewyork!!!!

Since we all jumped on the Will Benson train, he’s now in a 2-29 stretch…
You can lump me in if you want, but I never got on that train. I'm not a believer unfortunately. I have more faith in OGon than Benson, but that isn't saying much. I would think that the incredible MIF depth could be used to acquire a real OF prospect, but that's a big assumption.
