That match was awesome, you can clearly see where the act ends and Rotunda decides he's going to beat him for real.

I thought he did it with a lot of class... even though Death Row was begging him to let him go.

LOL. Good post.
The video cuts it off, but Death Row went at Rotunda after the match, and got punched out.* There is an old saying: "Never mistake kindness for weakness."

Its funny when you read all these bios about how out of control these guys were back then.

And they talk about Rotunda being a normal guy who acted like he worked a 9-5 job and was always the designated driver.

There is a really good interview with DiBiase and Rotunda. Rotunda's Iron Sheik story is hilarious.

*Kind of interesting when one compares the famous story of Shawn Michaels getting his ass kicked by a much smaller Marine at a bar.

I didn't realize until now that The Miz is the same white frat kid from Cleveland in Real World NY 2.

I've tried watching WWE stuff since 2007 or so and I just can't get into it.

Too many titles, too many title changes, everyone looks the same, greased up hot dog skin guys.

Like some of these guys have won the now debased WWE Championship like 10 times or something.

I hate to be the old guy but: "Wrestling was so much better back in the day!"

Everything you’ve posted thus far is exactly what I remember and enjoyed. Great stuff! So there’s 2 old guys at least.

Watch AEW. Product is on fire right now.
I’m sure it is. But it’s more than that with the old school WWF. It’s a place and time. An era.

Grew up in the 90s, I hear ya.

While I don't have time to watch it, the fact they built the franchise around Jericho is all I needed to know... good business plan!

I worked for a UPN affiliate back in 2000 when Jericho broke on Smackdown. I haven't watched pro wrestling consistently, but Jericho is a full-package talent. I remember thinking he was just a crowd gimmick because he was flawless on promos. Then he would drop moonsaults!

I was like, damn, dude can actually do this.

If it walks like a Steiner...

The Steiners were legit in all their forms.

Loved evil Rick Steiner in the Varsity Club.

Can anyone else tell me what else is interesting about the picture?

Steiners lost their title belts to Doom. Doom member Ron Simmons was drafted by the Browns forty years ago, 6th round.

There is that, but more immediate to the picture.
