Wait,....shouldnt that hand on a stick be a broom?

It has like different attachments you can screw on. Brooms, dildos, wolf man hands, egg whisk, etc.

Terry Pluto’s book Loose Balls mentions him (and the airplane “time machine” story) and all the other wack jobs in the ABA. Before my time, but sounded like a helluva stretch.
My favorite sports book. One dude refused to sign with a team because he wanted a thousand dollars and they only offered him fifteen hundred. The chapter on the Spirits of St. Louis was the longest and worth the price of the book on its own. I really wish ESPN or Netflix or someone would do a series on the ABA which had such a colorful history and made the NBA a much better league.

Let me ask for those who don’t like Sexton. Realistically, what would you want for him to develop this season? I love Sexton and I like to see how he can improve in playing together as a teammate with more talent and how he involves Lauri and Mobley in the game.

Although I'm a huge Sexton fan, I would love to see him improve on the defensive end, alter his shot profile to more 3s, and upping his assists. I doubt he increases his PPG but I have a feeling he will be playing much 'higher quality' basketball this season as he will have a few more offensive threats around him. Hopefully a lot of the doubter will be silenced this year

I'd love to see him develop a few more inches in height.

The ability to give up the ball to an open person right next to him without having to hesitate

I'm a Sexton fan but I'm hoping that he can learn from Rubio and hopefully take on the role of backup PG when Rubio leaves. Not saying to demote Sexton or take his starting job but Garland and Sexton become alot easier to spread out their minutes and not have to play small alot if Sexton can play PG enough to take on being the PG when Garland isn't on the floor.

First of all welcome aboard as I saw you joined a few days ago. Good to see more Cleveland fans overseas. Technically he hasn’t really had talent around him since high school so it would be great to see how he does on the offensive side with our talent there. I really want Sexton to prove many others wrong even further.

We might be able to see more of Sexton off the ball which he did well with Delly together. Having Rubio will definitely help Sexton and we do have some good passes now with Rubio and Mobley, I can see Sexton’s off the ball can go to another level.

I just think that if we want Sexton to work out with the team they have to balance playing him off the ball and on the ball. Sexton is easier to play if he is a PG/SG vs just being a undersized SG. I'd rather see Rubio help Garland play better off the ball and mentor Sexton to become more of a PG.

I think Sexton as a PG is a lost cause, and I believe the organization agrees.

Bringing in Rubio, and even Pangos for emergencies, assures that Sexton can just focus on playing to his strengths without ever having to worry about playing PG again.

just an overall sense of when to give the ball up and keep the offense flowing. It's all general hoops awareness issues.
Also, if he's going to be the kind of scorer he wants to be for a winning squad, he's going to need to be able to get his 3 off quicker and off the bounce.
I think the winning version of the Cavs has a lower usage and less PPG from Sexton, but a way higher pace of play all around.

seems to be pretty much so on these boards compared to any other I have seen. But if he takes another step or two this season I will back the idea of keeping him. Right now don't see the advantage in treating him like an untouchable player at all
Garland is the best player on the roster unless or until Mobley demonstrates otherwise. The fact that he averaged six assists when most of Sexton's buckets are unassisted, Sexton's usage is as high as it is, and no one else on the roster can hit a jump shot was a bit of a miracle. If he was on a team that was just average from 3 point range, he would've averaged 17 and 8 as a 20 year old.
