Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
@The Oi you seem to really be forcing the wedge that there must be a meaningful difference between people posting stupid shit to social media and people not posting stupid shit to social media.

I don't think it means anything. It doesn't matter. Let the guy post silly little videos to pump his ego or to get his fans hyped, or just to boost his follower numbers. In the end, it's meaningless.

I don't watch his videos because I don't care.

But surely some of his fans eat that shit up and that's who the videos are for. As I mentioned, he's not just a football player. He's a brand. And the people who pay him want to keep people talking about him even when he's not playing, because he makes them money too, and so we get hype vids.

I still can't forgive myself for watching three videos of Isaiah Thomas's hype series that showed him recovering from his injury before the season he started with the Cavs. He cried when he got traded to us. Should've known then.

I don't mind a video here and there and OBJ certainly has earned his followers through both play and his side hustle / fashion shit - he is smart for monetizing his brand, IMO. He's one of only a few that can in the NFL. I don't blame him in that regard.

With that said, what that little boston midget put out was as bad as the season he played with us. Cries for likes is his game.

Let?

He can do whatever he wants. I’m some dude expressing my opinion about it on a message board. I’m not stopping him and he’ll never see my opinion and it won’t affect him or change what he’s doing in the least.

But I think what I think and I’ve explained why.

This is right on target with my thought process.

After two weeks, the Browns are the number one offense in Football Outsider’s DVOA metric.

You're right. You're not physically stopping him from doing it.

But, hear me out on this one... maybe this is a topic that isn't about you.

What would you think of some 50 year old complaining about a Billie Eilish song, or *insert example where person complains about something they don't like here*? Whether it was parents complaining about Rock music, rap music, people complaining about nerds and video games, comic books, animation, whatever--the need to put things down says a lot about that person.

Whatever the little video was, it's not for you. It's not for me. Feel however you want, but let's not try to make mountains out of molehills by attributing meaning to something that's devoid of it.

Ah.

I see the undercurrent now. Including your not really veiled personal attack.

So you think I have a problem with those millennials and those gen z’ers.

I’m a millennial. I’ve spent plenty of time arguing in favor of my generation and gen z outside of here, including directly to baby boomers.

You’re barking up the wrong tree here.

I just disagree with the strategy of that video as I described upthread.

You could re-read and find it, but for I think the third time (maybe second, but now you’re really starting to stick out) in a few days I’m going to disengage with you because your tone sucks and I don’t trust you.

Dude, I don't think it's possible for you to have missed the mark by more than you've missed it here.

Try again... or don't. The latter is likely preferred.

What a find McDowell has been!
Malik McDowell is also an Exclusive Rights free agent this off-season. He accrued less than two years of experience with the Seahawks.

That's great leverage for a contract negotiation because he can't negotiate with another team yet! Gift that keeps on giving!
