Do Not Sell My Personal Information
3-4 years after release, I finally got around to watching I, Tonya....dark, gruesomely funny at times... sad, yet entertaining and compelling even as I already knew most of the story. It strikes a chord with me, as I "knew" so many of these types growing up in small town Ohio -- I'm sympathetic, appalled and not the least bit shocked at their actions, all at the same time. Robbie and Janney were brilliant....easily recommended.

Wife wanted to watch the Lula Roe thing, which I guess was more a documentary. But whatever.

I’ve always been fascinated by how people get sucked into pyramid schemes. In reality, people get sucked into shitty things all the time and are exploited and this was no different. Getting sucked into a pyramid scheme (we all know people), an absolute shit company (been there), and a cult have some commonalities. Pyramid schemes that suck in lonely stay at moms are particularly predatory.

It was interesting, a little sad, and once the clothes got shitty the patterns started looking like dicks and vaginas when they weren’t inspected properly.

On this note, Beach Body is another really bad, predatory one.

I watched Disney's Cruella with my grandkids tonight. Movie was enjoyable, soundtrack was killer.

Absolutely agree. Fun movie, one of the best sound tracks IMO since Baby Driver. Music helped the story.

My sister in law made six figures for a couple years off that shit. Went on all kinds of cruises and shit too. But it wasn’t sustainable.

Musta had a helluva downline.

Last one was really good.

Yeah, I liked that they just pretended all the terrible Halloween sequels didn't happen and started over from scratch.

Although relocating Michael Meyers at night on Halloween was the dumbest shit in the script. Why in the blue fuck would you put a guy on a prison transport on the same night where, a few decades earlier, he notoriously went on a terrifying killing spree? And who the hell decides to transport prisoners after dark when, if they escape, it will be much harder to track them?

Looks like Gladiator 2: Electric Boogalo is on the way! No seriously, how do you have a sequel to a movie where both the major protagonist and antagonist die? Ridley had a history of getting stuck up his own ass on his sequels to his works, I am not holding my breath. It no doubt will look cool but if he tries to bring back Maximus I don't see how it flies. Hell, him dying is what made the movie as good as it was; made it at least mildly believable.

So read up on this... It's going to center in the whiney kid of Commodus' sister. He apparently reveres Maximus, which means we either get Crowe in flashbacks or dream sequences. Didn't Maximus and the sister screw? Shouldn't there be a progeny of Maximus still out there? Eh. I guess we'll find out, it's only been in planning for 3 years, should be ready to go soon.

Ah, that Pertinax movie everyone has yearned for!!!

And the Year of Five Emperors.

Donald Glover can play Septimius Severus.

But also, the child Lucius Varus died young before Commodus came to power.

No time to die. A really good end to Craig's tenure as bond. But it really needs you to know the other films, is not fun for younger viewers (too much drama) and there are so gaping plot issues.
I did really enjoy it. There are some excellent set pieces and I wonder what they are going to do next.

Watched Dune on HBOMax. I'd give it a 9/10.

This movie is beautifully shot and well cast (casted?). It runs for 2.5 hours. It ends when Paul joins with the Fremen. There is a lot left to go with the plot. Go watch it.

It’s indeed visually stunning (no surprise with Villeneuve at the helm).

As someone who hasn’t read the source material or watched the prior films, I could tell that the movie had to take some time setting the stage for other viewers like me. This will be mildly distracting and tedious to fans of the books, but I understand why it’s necessary… even despite that it’s excellent. You can tell that with that task out of the way, the next film should be phenomenal.
